: Lowering the Jeep
chris427 01-14-2012, 03:06 PM Going to spend some cash on the Jeep so was looking to lower it. At the moment it seems to wonder about on anything but flat tarmac and the steering feels really twitchy at speed on country roads. I'm running 275/40 Vreds all round. The fitter has put 32 psi in them. Any suggestions guys. I've been told Eibechs are good to lower it but also want options on the shocks not just the springs, don't really want it to jar my spine on small bumps but want it to handle better than it does.
nyhockeyref93 01-14-2012, 04:07 PM stage 6 motorsports shocks they have on their website, and are adjustable
chris427 01-15-2012, 12:10 PM Do they do front and rears? Was looking at the coil over option. Seems it cures almost all the bounce, harsh ride and toe in problems that come after dropping the jeep and is fully adjustable. Any thoughts on this mod?

There aren't any coilovers available right now. KSport had a set but there hasn't been one good word about those. BC should be coming out with a set shortly. It seems alot more testing is being done with the BC set before being released than the KSports.

Never seen those before. News to me.
chris427 01-15-2012, 01:07 PM Looks the same photo as Bwoody's have on their site for the coil overs

Are these available does anyone know? Looks the same kit to me but more expensive!

Didn't realize those were the ones BWoody was trying to sell. Last I heard, DGR wanted an order of 20 minimum before they would put them into production.
chris427 01-15-2012, 01:51 PM I'll have to email both sellers and see what's available. Trouble is i'm in the UK so shipping and customs taxes will be sky high! Still got to be better than a 155mph missile that thinks it's a bloody snake!!
yungsrt 01-15-2012, 05:01 PM Just do springs, swaybar links and QA1 shocks, coilovers are not worth it IMO unless to road race your rig.
chris427 01-16-2012, 11:12 AM That sounds the best option. Doesn't the front shocks need upgrading? Seems everyone just does the back and leaves the front shocks and sway bar links as is? I see you're running Eibach springs, what's the ride like?
chris427 01-16-2012, 11:16 AM Just out of interest, would the QA1 rear shocks work with the standard spring set up and make an improvement to the handling?
chris427 01-16-2012, 12:35 PM Just found in the UK i can get either Eibach or H&R lowered springs. Anyone using the H&R set up?
