Hey all,
Is there anybody in the KC area who has a set of wheels and tires I could borrow for a week or two? I need to pull my wheels off and have them powder coated but I need to still use the vehicle. I work from a home office, so I wouldn't be putting a lot of miles on them.
I know I'm new to the forums but I would really appreciate it.

LOL thanks. I bit the bullet and put the Jeep on blocks. I just got the wheels back this week.

What color are did you powder coat?

Just bought my jeep last week, do we have a local group of owners? I've seen maybe two within the last year.

I live out in Lees Summit, and have a black 2007 Jeep SRT8 and just purchased a new 2011 Challenger R/T 6 speed. Both are black with red hood fender stripes. I'm always messing around with them on the week end and looking forward to some car shows or meets.

Was going to send a PM but you cant receive them. The body of the jeep looks good with some scratches but nothing major. The front bumper is dinged up pretty good. The motor hasn't been touched from what I can tell. It has just under 66,000 miles on it. The interior looks good with the driver seat having a bit of wear on the lower bolsters. I'd look at the pics some more on that. The jeep ran strong and shifted well. The only issue was the autostick wasnt functioning. They called a dodge/jeep dealer in town, probably gladstone dodge, and they stated the ESM probably needed replacing. All the power options functioned as normal and no rust. The underside looked good with no apparent leaking. Half tread on front tires and rears need replacing asap with factory goodyears on it. All the wheels had quite a bit of road rash on them.

I talked with John Doughtery, nice older guy. His cell is 816-695-3587 and the business is 816-756-3000. The vehicle was a trade in owned by an older guy who is a bank VP or something. He traded it for an Audi wagon haha. They stated they would replace the ESM pending a deal.

My personal opinion is with the few flaws, even pending the autostick fix, and the mileage, I wouldn't pay $26,000 for it. They were saying it Blue Books for $28,000. You can find a nice one on here from a member that everyone knows for that money.

Don't be scared to go farther for a good one. I flew to Austin Texas and drove mine back.

Thanks man I really appreciate you stopping by and checking it out for me, there's no way I'd pay 26 for it either, I know they have it listed on Autotrader @ $24,997 and with the way you described it I wouldn't go any higher than $22,900 for it.

I may give them a call and talk with them about it, I am looking @ a couple others it's just this one is closer.

No still on the hunt, thought I was close to a deal here a little closer to home but some else swooped in. It looks like the one you looked at for me has been sold while I was working on the deal for the other one here, so the search continues.

I'd be up for a trip to either KC or Cedar Rapids for a get together, I always enjoy meeting new people.

It's every other Friday, this Friday should be the next one. Wings are always good.
