: My worst nightmare came true
Well guys i have posted a couple recent posts about my jeep not running good, temp. fluctuations and seeing a puff of black smoke.....i just got the call and this is what they told me.... "your truck is burning oil, we need to do a complete engine tear down":( ouch!!! This thing is 2 months old, im heartbroken.......
kramsay1234 08-01-2007, 04:27 PM Thats @ss! Sorry about that luck. If it makes you feel a little better, I came out last weekend and someone had backed into the front of my truck in a parking lot. Bumper is wrecked and of course the chip guard that I had it wrapped with.

Man i feel your pain sorry to hear that. They told me cause of how busy they are that they will need it for 3 weeks.........:(
kramsay1234 08-01-2007, 04:32 PM I am sure my truck will be in the body shop for a week whenever I can get it in. Then I will be driving a Caravan. Nice...
garyhesq 08-01-2007, 04:36 PM That is terrible news. Make sure they explain exactly what happened to it. Mis-assembled, bad oil (unlikely) etc. There are reasons for these types of failures and can be diagnosed during disassembly. Let us know. Any chance they would just do a crate replacement? It IS almost brand new.

omegaman 08-02-2007, 03:21 PM Wait a second. THAT'S your worst nightmare??? Man, you must be living a charmed life b/c my worst nightmare involves a lot of death and a prison rape scene. Oh, and the IRS, too.

DABEARS1 08-03-2007, 06:12 PM No wonder your dub air didn't work for you, your engine was ******
Inferno SRT8 08-03-2007, 06:50 PM I know it sucks because its so new but atleast they found out and worse comes to worse start keeping records of down time on the SRT8 in NY its 30 days out of service a certain amount of times for the same repair and it becomes a lemon, check your states lemon laws.
Dont feel so bad I just had my drivers fender and door repainted, they did a top notch job but it still sucks and to be honest with you now im enjoying driving it alot more, im still anal but now ill almost take it anywhere, before I wouldnt use it if I knew I couldnt get parking etc.
Good luck and like I said start keeping a good paper trail, worse comes to worse you lemon it and get a new one.
