: Strut Brace Question?

Has anyone removed the strut brace over the intake in the enginge bay? Was it difficult to do? Any tips/tricks to it?

Very easy only 4 bolts I think they are 18mm and the Torque spec is 70Ft.lbs

I removed mine and painted it red! Looks great, like Bill said, 5min.

Got it done yesterday, I removed it so I could also paint it. Very easy as stated by other members, thanks again :) (18mm deep well socket, 6in 3/8 extension)

I do have a spare crossbar if anyone needs it (FREE).
It is a replacement from the dealer and looks like hell (not well rounded), but, I used it during the 60 days when my original was being chrome plated.

I'll take it if it's free. i want to get mine powder coated, but wasn't sure if the car was driveable without the strut bar. i'll send oyu a PM.

I know bwoody carries them and will powder coat them and do an exchange for yours so all your out is the cost of the powder coat, I'm having one done to match their intake
