While changing the pcm, I lost one of the two bolts that hold the computer to the wall. How can I get another one? I put both on the fender lip and they rolled inside the fender. Only one came out the bottom!!

Thanks

Have you drove it yet? If not, try moving it a bit while stopping quick, that may jar the bolt loose. Then if you have a magnet(extendable would be better) search for it.

I will try that tomorrow. I cannot believe the bolt fell thru such a small area.

Just order another from the dealer and hope the one you lost doesn't end up stuck in a tire.

That falls under $hit happens.
It will workout, worse case the PCM will not fall off with one bolt and that plastic pin until the dealer gets a new bolt.

At least you can get yours off. The UK/Euro spec has an extra restraint bracket holding the PCM in place and there is no easy way to remove it.

2004 Mark,
I have designed a neat piece to replace that "thing". Its function is the same (extra assurance from cables coming loose under extreme conditions) as that mess, but is very simple.
I will get it installed in the next few days and start a thread on it.

Dont feel too stoopid...I drop stuff all the time when I am working on the cars. I bet my job time would be cut in half if I could just hold on the the shiznit. It take less than a second to drop a wrench, but sometime upwards of a half hour to fish it out. :(
