: SRT phone survey

Got a call last night from a private company that said they were doing research on specialty/high performance cars. They said it was based on my purchase of the SRT and they were doing the survey on DCX/SRT's behalf. Made sense since she knew I had one.

I don't normally like to do that kind of stuff, and I figured a 20 minute survey wouldn't be too bad...

Make that an hour and eight minutes, but I'm to blame for (1) being a talker and (2) getting me on one of my favorite subjects.

Real nice lady joked with me about having talked to other Jeep SRT owners and how similar some of our answers were.

Was just curious if anyone else here had heard from them too...

So do tell on some of the questions asked.

Call me weird, but I normally take the surveys...a few years ago I was taking a beer survey every month, and a week after the phone call I received a crisp one doller bill for every month I took the survey. First month $1 came second month $2 came etc. I think I made $18 before I moved and changed my phone number.

Holy cow, there were a ton covered in the hour plus. Most of them were rated on a scale of 1 -10, or very dissatisfied to very satisfied. Some of the subjects covered were features and how important something is or isn't to you. What you would change or improve, (my beef was the orange peel paint, she told me the other two major "complaints" were NAV features/not being touch screen and the awful run flats). It was a cool survey because it was all about performance, so a lot of talk about HP, brakes, suspension/handling, etc. They even let you configure your dream hi-po car from body type (sedan, SUV, etc.) type of motor (gas, hybrid, etc.) , minimum HP (why 500, of course), etc. One question that was kinda funny was whether or not I agreed that the Jeep SRT was "political correct" on a scale of 1-10 (strongly disagree to strongly agree). I told her that while no one is outside my house protesting, if they knew what my mileage was they'd have a baby. I told her what was even funnier was that my gigantic SUV, (Ford Excursion) which was arguably discontinued in part to it being nicknamed the "Ford Valdez" by the Sierra Club, gets the best mileage in my stable (15/16 around town, close to 20 highway) and that's the one the my neighbor with a Prius loves to eye fug me when I fire it up and diesel belches a nice black cloud! I ended up giving the Jeep a 2, along with a "I could give a flying handshake less, and wouldn't care if the mileage was half that!".

I wish I was getting a dollar too for doing the survey though...it'd go right into the "Mod Jar"!

Yep I got a call, and hung up on em.

Told the SRT Engineers all I needed to tell.

I took the survey too the other night. The girl was actually a lot of fun on the phone. When she asked me that question, I laughed....pretty hard....which made her laugh and I said "Let's give that a 1" .If I had to do it all over again though, I absolutely would. I don't think political correctness has ever been in my top 10 reasons for buying a car.
