I saw one here at school in Eugene Oregon... :eek: I think it was Phil Knight's (creator of Nike,) as it was right before an Oregon basketball game and I saw it drive by Mac Court as I was waiting outside. I looked at the other students in line and they had no idea what it was, I was like "HOLY %#$%#^%$$% a $%^^$#%$^ SLR!!!!!"

The SLR is the biggest piece of crap wanna be supercar. THe orignal list is well over 400K and now I have seen them selling for well under 300k. All this hype and conflicting styling never really delivered. For a 450k car it is considerably slow. I see a couple (2) frequently and while it is a pretty radical car, it looks like a 200k car, 250 tops.

I know the 0-60 is 3.7. On the Basic model. A turbo GC srt-8 should be able to do that.

The 722 is definitely a major improvement though..

Considering it's a McLaren Mercedes, not a McLaren F1, it's really not an abomination.

It's like Ferrari's that carry the Pininfarina name. Not all of them are "supercars". But that doesn't necessarily make the non-supercars abominations.

I saw this car in downtown Minneapolis a couple of nights ago! It was parked in front of the City Center, where no one parks. This thing was parked out in front like he owned the joint, and no one seemed to mind! I'm pretty sure I couldn't pull that off with the Jeep! ;)

There is forsure 2 SLR's in minnesota. One siver and one black (neither are 722's) I have also seen the silver one in dowtown Wayzata, and actually I know the son of the guy who owns it. He went to the University of St. Thomas with me. His parents used to live up on "ferndale" a few houses down from me, and the son stole that car a couple nights in college and beat the **** out of it!
