: Where do you get your SRT serviced in Chicago

My dealership blows ass. There has to at least 1 good Chicagoland or surburban dealership to get our SRT serviced, where the people in the service department arent total idiots. At this point I would not mind driving 30 miles just to get some decent service. You guys remember I took the jeep in for the TSB on the rears. They did the fronts saying the rears brakes and rotors are fine. 2 days later rears are acting up again. No appointment available for 2 weeks.

Dropped the jeep off this morning and they tell me we will have it done by the evening. I just called them up for an update and the idiots said they haven't even looked at it. So now I have no ride home cuz I was picking up the jeep on the way back. Turns out the fuggers didnt even order the parts for the TSB on the rears.

Stay away from Northwestern Jeep on Western ave in Chicago.

I go to the jeep dealer ship in the aurora auto mall. I went in for the TSB and they knew exactly what i was talking about, I called on a monday and they said i could bring it in anytime just let them know. They also aligned my exhaust a little better b/c i thought it looked a little uneven.

i completely agree with you. arlington jeep is startin to suck my balls as well. the same thing happend to me with the TSB. to make a long story short, got the front and rear pads replaced and they still squeal like a mother. they told me its normal because of the high performance brake pads. thats complete b.s.

champion- anything you can do to help us out? i would not be opposed at all to come over by you if you can help us out.

When I arrived at an automobile dealership to pick up my car, I was told the keys had been locked in it. I went to the service department and found the mechanic working feverishly to unlock the driver's side door. As I watched from the passenger side, I instinctively tried the door handle and discovered that it was unlocked. "Hey," I announced, "Its open!" His reply, "I know - I already got that side."

Forget Rohrman Dodge and Jeep in BG

They are clueless. If you do not know what actually is wrong, it will never be addressed. Its good that you are involved and willing to assist the guys Don. Why besides selling the most SRT's, your dealership can also service the most, which should lead to Champion knowing the most about them.

NO Brainer, my buddy shops with FIELDS service is amazing, free coffee, Ice cream, Breakfast, and Sushi. They give you a Loaner occasionally a BMW and ALWAYS wash your car when they are done. They take your car same day as well

If I buy a Jeep its coming from Fields!

All correct and I couldn't agree more. I got my truck there and they are the best. New service manager Doug Morris is excellent and there is a service guy there named Rick who I have been advised to have work on my truck. Haven't had it in yet--only 1,400 miles so far. They have a very strong relationship with Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep. If anyone ever has a problem at Fields, let me know. I have known John Fields for 25 years and the Jeep General Manager Jim Moyer for 15, and they would want to hear about any issues. --Bob

I use Fields, the service is great and I would also recommend giving them a try.

Wow, I guess they'll be playing hockey in hell tonight cause it seems Nip and I agree on something. :D

Fields or Champion will get my business from here on in. riverfront would be straight down 88. Get off at Orchard rd and take a right. You would have to be blind to miss it. Its the next exit after Lake street in aurora.

It's hard enough to focus on my first post here without the image of GodfatherSRT8's avatar bouncing in my head. :D Dizzy as I may be--I am going to buy a GC SRT8 within the next 12 months. I have been lurking here for several months. Now that I am within a year of acquiring a new truck I am trying to narrow down where I am going to buy it (I know about Don in Barrington from the many previous posts) and where am I going to have it serviced?

Fields sounds great but Northfield is a bit of a haul from Aurora, as you know. Did you ever consider Jeep of Naperville? Any idea how they compare to River Front?

Thank you--

John

In that case, I'm out. My 08 should be here soon and I'll wait until next time around and save my $500.

Thanks!!

I'm coming from Lake Bluff, which seems like a subrub of Milwaukee sometimes, so don't complain. See you tomorrow.--Bob
