: Goodbye Cayenne, Hello Jeep
thebigsadler 07-24-2007, 09:42 PM Well I pulled the trigger tonight, got a fair trade in deal from the enormous dodge/jeep/etc dealer here in jacksonville.
Here are some pictures of the Cayenne Turbo, pictures of the Jeep to come hopefully after some tint, suede interior and maybe some 22s :)

If anyone needs some 22s for a Cayenne, mine are up for sale and for cheap (2000 miles on them).

Street WK 07-24-2007, 09:46 PM you're crazy... congrats i guess.
toothmechanic 07-24-2007, 10:18 PM WOW!!!! Why the change? Is the Jeep that much more fun???
Is that at the lowest ride height, or did you lower it some?
And...as a photographer...nice shots! Great lighting and framing!!!
OurZoo 07-24-2007, 10:52 PM Niice rig and I really dig the backdrop and pics too!
jlandbl 07-25-2007, 05:55 AM Wow, nice Cayenne, why the switch?
thebigsadler 07-25-2007, 06:16 AM Thanks for the compliments guys.
I go through cars pretty quickly and just got bored with the Cayenne. I will miss the presence the Cayenne has, but the Jeep to me is very similar without fancy wrapping paper. Also this will free up a good amount of money to buy a second 'weekend' car which I haven't had since the Cayenne.
echo412 07-25-2007, 07:09 AM hey i bought mine from jaxcjd too. This what I traded in.

I had a S/C'd g35 before the cayenne, 350z's are nice.
navyavi469 07-25-2007, 08:11 AM You mean you couldn't just drive the Cyanne over to Stage-6 for a turbo upgrade?
pfffffffftttttt!!!! hahahahahahahhahahah!!!!!!
The JGC is a great vehicle, but its a "most bang for the buck" car, a properly modded turbo porsche owns it bigtime.
What part of Jax are you from.
Untouchable 07-25-2007, 08:17 AM I had always thought what would happen when if one was to trade a car in for something worth about half as much. I just cant imagine walking out of a dealer with a car and cash, instead of paying.
If you dont mind me asking, how did this deal play out. did you drive in with the cayenne and walk out with a jeep and cash.

The Cayenne is a pig though, weighing in at 6200lbs, plus my fatass, really slows it down. I had an ECU reflash and was a step away from bypass pipes, DVs and intakes but decided it really wasn't worth the extra $2500 to still be slow off the line. Sometime in my near future I will own another Cayenne and it will be of the GT700 variety!
I live in Ponte Vedra.

Deal wasn't bad, could have been better, could have been much worse. I have been trying to sell the Cayenne privately for a month+ and decided to take a hit to get into a more practical daily driver. Like I said, I am also freeing up cash to get into a weekend vehicle, maybe a 911tt or FI'd M3..

And a properly modded SRT8 (ASM anyone?) will own a properly modded cayenne big time. Such is the advantage of less weight and more cubes.
DABEARS1 07-25-2007, 09:02 PM Anyone see the unique whips episode when they did up Timbalands Cayenne. They were putting in a radar detector and when the lifted up the cowl screen they found a hammer sitting there beside the wiper motor...lol Hows that for quality.....

Yes, but since we're talking about Stuttgart, it was a metric hammer!:D
RUDE8 07-26-2007, 04:43 PM Perhaps the best looking Cayenne I've yet seen . . .
NISM05 07-26-2007, 04:45 PM wow... that would be hard for me to trade-in...
NISM05 07-26-2007, 04:45 PM Perhaps the best looking Cayenne I've yet seen . . .
AGREED! That thing is nice!
I would have kept the Cayenne Turbo. That thing looks awesome!!! If I could afford that my jeep would be gone faster than it takes off. :D
moschin0 07-26-2007, 07:25 PM the rims in the cayenne TECH ART right how much you want to sell them ?
CentralTexHemi 07-26-2007, 08:35 PM That Cayenne was beautiful, but lucky for my the girlfriend pays for our Cayenne (she makes more than I do) and I pay for the Jeep and we share the SL550 for:confused: , uhhh babe why do we have the SL:rolleyes:
thebigsadler 07-26-2007, 09:42 PM the rims in the cayenne TECH ART right how much you want to sell them ?
they are victor equipment wheels, a company that makes porsche aftermarket stuff.
I do need to move the wheels, they are in perfect condition, 2000 miles on them and asking $3200 shipped w/ tires.
dntnvme 07-27-2007, 06:08 AM The cayenne is beautiful. I was going to get the turbo but decided that was too much $$$ for a daily driver. I drive around town most of the day so buying a porche would have not been a smart idea.
Jay

BigC1086 07-31-2007, 03:47 PM Haha, echo, I drove your car when you traded it in. I was a salesman there. Thats funny.
Blown-WK 08-02-2007, 07:40 AM Wow there are quite a few of us in jax now. We should all get together and do a jeep ride. Maybe even gainesville raceway soon.
