Talking to Don a while ago, he told me that sometimes they hold onto the first few to make sure nothing goes wrong with the test mules (or something like that).

The lady at Chrysler (1.800.992.1997) was very nice and helpful, she looked up my jeep and spent a little extra time seeing if there was anything else she could see to tell me...very happy with her service.

Yes, this is interesting, I have never done this before...I even ordered the jeep with out driving an 07. I finally drove an 07 weeks ago, but I couldn't really test it out as the gas light was on, the temp was 102, rush hour traffic, and the sales guy sitting in the back seat...

This will be the 2nd new vehicle I have purchased, but with the first one (ordered it too) I at least got to spend some quality time with its duplicate on the lot...

This sounds like the perfect vehicle for me so I ordered it from a guy I have never met that lives over 1700 miles away not knowing the price.

Sounds like I am insane for doing it all, but I still don't care...it has the looks (I think as I haven't seen any real photos of it) it has the power and it has the other requirements that I must have in a work vehicle (over 6000 lbs GVW, 4 doors, cargo area...)

I am in love, my wife already hates my new mistress... :D

So did I. Fortunately, I am 3 miles from them. I met a few of the guys there and they have a great sales team.:D

With the launch of a new model year, they don't get shipped immediately. They hold them till new drive test and crash tests are done, and any production problems are resolved. Torques etc....

We've made a few thousand new minivans, all in storage, not being shipped till September at earliest...
