What a shame.

I will add, though, that Nitrous is not a "volatile" gas as the article states. These newspapers aren't very good when it comes to preparing a story.

Live fast, play hard. Us gearheads, we understand that.

These guys went out while street racing, getting an adrenalin rush from something they loved. Knowing there are risks, but doing something anyway, that's what life is about...

If that was me, I wouldn't want pity or remorse. Just a hearty 'That guy was hardcore.'

HUH?!

You're kidding, right??? If not, than you must not have read the entire story, correct???? If not, than you have issues, Cdog. A female "passenger" was killed in the car accident, not the driver. For all we know she may have been screaming at him to slow the F down!!

C'mon man, your post ain't right.

"Hardcore" means you're safe enough to not put others at risk.

"Hardcore" means on a track or controlled environment and with the appropriate equipment.

"Lost control" means he probably never had control and shouldn't have taken other people along for that ride.

Just my .02

Yes, passenger fatalities are bad.

My point was that if you go out doing something that makes you happy, then that's OK, and people should understand thats how you wanted things and not feel sorry for you or remorseful.

The passengers didnt really have a choice.

This proves my theory, the Honda Accord is way too much car for the street.

A shame, indeed.

As far as the newspapers go, IMO it's not a matter of poor story prep, but more of them throwing words such as "volatile" and the like in to add extra unneeded dramatic effect.

If a person goes out doing what they love to do, fine. But if said person carelessly goes out there and hurts or kills someone else in the process, remorse will be at the bottom of the list of feelings I will have.

There is a time and place for everything. At no time is the street the place for racing.
