Holy ******* batman!!!

I hooked up my custom ported enclosure for the jeep....For 1 sub, this thing has some serious WANG to it. I havent even begun to dail things in yet. I get some serious shaking in the pants when its on.....From Ozzy to Snoop dogg, this thing is Much louder than I thought it would be. It hits very low.....and just shakes everything so far....

Im loving it.... Just gotta hook up the new front kickpanel drivers and I will be good to go.

Then I will do all the finishing work when I get everything tested and broken in.

I had to remove the rear wiper...It was rattling like crazy...And I cant take that crap. I now Know where I will have to install the sound deadening.

Yeah yeah yeah I know...I keep saying Im going to get some pics and post them....I will tonight...I just try to use every free moment I get to work on the stereo.....and I forget to get the pics....But just remember that the pics will be under construstion pics....

The box worked out to be pretty large I could have made it smaller, but I wanted a certain look with the double ports....I think you guys will like it.

And the amprack, well I wanted it hard to remove.....To get the amps out you actually have to move about 120 pounds of awkward sub enclosure first...then figure out how the amp covers are mounted...

It is build in a way that will allow future upgrades also....Very large amprack. Basically its the entire floor of the jeep....

Right now theres about 1600 watts total.

Its tied into the factory system like I planned it...I can play movies front and back and still work the factory nav.

One of the best parts is that my daughter can veiw the front screen from the back seat...So I can flod the rear factory screen up for rear view.

Judging from my previous car, I would say that this one should hit right around 140-142 decibles. I may be wrong on that, but it is pretty loud. Dont worry, its clean too...once My front stage is complete, it should be amazing.

I think I will be very happy with it.

Right now I completely drown out the factory stereo...But I will be tuning it for the best possible sound once the front is done...The whole thing will work in unison to create an engulfing concert hall sound that will make you want to wiggle your tailfeather!!!

NDM,

Did you you ever work out getting those 8" mid base/subs into the kick panels?

Yes and no.

Yes, I have no doubt that they would in fact fit because I did a mock up with them and the 6.5's. There was plenty of space...

No, Im not going that route because I realized that I should have plenty of Midbass by going with 2 sets of 6.5's... and also there is another place to put the 8's where there wont be any guess to whether they will sound good. seat enclosures. right off the front of the seat and downfiring...

But I am going to do 1 set of boston z6 mids at first in the kicks with 300x2 watts....YEP thats 600 watts total on just the kickpanel components. I figure I would start off with it this way, then try the other set later....Im really hurting from not having the system for a while. I just want to get it working first...then Ill fine tune it...
