: PWR Cams
Rocky31186 08-22-2011, 05:58 PM Looked on the site and its not showing me any options for parts..
Where do I go to check out your PWR cams and pricing.
I know on my 5.7L Hemi Ram when I put a spartan cam in, I had to do the 6.1L springs and push rods..
Do you still need to upgrade them on the jeeps?
Or can you just install the cam..
There are a couple cams that you can run with the stock valvetrain. The website is still being worked on. Which cam were you looking at?
Rocky31186 08-23-2011, 04:07 AM Not really sure. Just wanted to see a list of options, specs, and pricing. And go from there.
jps043 08-23-2011, 07:09 AM Bump hopefully Andy catches sight of this and can provide some input. I know PWR has 5.7, 6.1, and just recently produced 6.4 heads. I believe the Apache heads are hot items right now.
I sent Andy a PM with a link to the thread. The Apache heads are hot items and flow more air than the current heads. They have been installed on a customers car and the results are vey promising so far. They tune is still being adjusted, so final numbers are not available.
If you're wanting to keep the stock springs, etc...there are 3 cams that you can swap in. If you're looking to swap springs or replace heads, then you open up a lot more options. It all depends on what you are looking for.
(I'm going off the current cam list, this does not any custom grind cams).
I would recommend getting a set of forged pushrods with any cam swap.
kmitch80 08-23-2011, 09:45 AM I believe the PWR 216 cam is the cam were you dont ahve to upgrade anything else. Andy had posted a thread a while back stating it should gain 30 AWHP. I've got one coming, so guess we'll see... if i ever decide to rip the motor apart and put it in that is!
At 212, 218, and 224 can all be used with the stock springs/retainers. The first 2 having a milder idle and the third (224) having a more moderate idle. It all comes down to what you're looking for. If you're looking/wanting to replace springs or replace the heads, that opens up a bunch more options.
Eric is correct, all the At cams are designed to be used with oem srt valvesprings. With it being a 5.7, your going to have to swap to the srt springs so while your at it, your better off swapping to an aftermarket spring and running an Fr camshaft.

Rocky31186 08-23-2011, 02:50 PM I think you got my post confused.. I used to have a 5.7 ram.. Im looking for a cam for my srt8 jeep..
Where do I go to look at prices and availability?
Im wanting good lope, but good hp gains and power.. Im trying to figure out my options... price for option A, keeping stock stuff JUST putting a cam in.. and option B, cam, springs, and push rods.. And in the future headers..

Option A would be the At-224, option B would be one of the Fr cams...You could also go something custom grind, but you'll need to talk to Andy for specifics.
The detailed products page is currently being re-created to reflect some changes that were made to product offerings and specs, you can send an email from the website or PM Andy here for options and availability in the meantime.
All cams are available and cost is $475. If you want a good lope go with the At218 or At224 on a 112LSA.
