I'm not sure. I would think you would need to register before hand. I registered probably 2 months ago and Sat. was already full.

Good luck!

This is close to me and I am in the market to get a GC SRT-8. I'd like to go just to check them out on a track. Are spectators allowed??

I was planing on going on Saturday the 28th, but since no SRT anymore, I cancelled. If I known I was going to receive a scale model Bee with plaque I would have bought it with me....and attended. To all going, have fun.

Hey,

Does anyone have any more info on this, or a link maybe? I'm not sure I understand what this event is.

Is this the track event that comes with every SRT or something else?

Spectators can go if registered for 60 bucks. They don't get to drive, but you do get to ride along with a professional on every module and be there for the fun. Good times!

I went to the SRT expierance yesterday (saturday) it was badass and the whole srt crew was a real cool crowd. Looks like everyone from the forums went today so i dont think I ran into anyone from the forums except maybe one person with a silver gc who had a propped collar on and asked me about my short stub antenna.

I was there Saturday, team" shake-n-bake". Had a lot of fun just wish we could have driven longer amounts of time. Went in the Jeep for the pro "Hot Laps" and I have a new appreciation for my Jeep. The driver said they had to run them with the Vipers because the Jeep would smoke the others on the road course. Gotta love it.

I didn't. It's not the most conducive situation for photos. You can't use one when driving and when you're not driving you are watching what everyone else is doing or getting slammed around by the pros.

Ditto to what GodFather said.

Team BoogieShoes!

I love how they let you drive them as hard as you can. I got a little private talk, when I got a little loose on the rumble strips with the magnums. (can't wait to see the in car video footage of my facial expressions). Great learning experience.

Chasing a professional driver around a road course, driving the 300c, magnum, supercharged crossfire. Priceless!!!

I went on Sunday and also had a blast. I insisted on the Silver Jeep with the Mopar exhaust for the "Hot Laps" We went out with three Vipers and in two laps of the 2 mile course, the Vipers were only maybe 50-100 yards ahead at the end. Amazing acceleration, handing and overall performance drifting through corners, but 4800 pounds and 420 HP only go so far against 500 hp and 3600 pounds in the Vipers. A good time, and I met a number of people who post on the forum, but the way the teams were split up couldn't get to know all the Jeep guys. Maybe a Chicago area gathring early in the fall. Autocross, anyone?:D -Bob

I think the 300C was the best car to drive on the course. Very smooth. Anyone esle not like the crossfires on the course??

Yep that was me. I thought I saw you too but not for long:D You zipped by me like you were chasing one of those Vipers--in heavy traffic no less! The truck looked good! -Bob

All the vehicles had different personalities, and I was impressed with all. Especially since they are stock vehicles from a Detroit Big three company. I thought the Crossfires felt the lightest (they were) and most balanced and nimble, with a fair amount of power. But they had no headroom with a helmet so I could never get a comfortable driving position. I was surprised at how composed the big 300s were. Very impressive. I suppose the Chargers were the best combination for the track, but the red one was down on power--missing a bit--and the brakes were heating up. But the real eye opener was "hot laps" in the Jeep. Surprisingly capable given its weight and center of gravity. The driver was good, put it on the cones every time and had it sliding a little in the turns. Don't try this at home, folks!:D -Bob
