: Just Picked my Black 06 SRT8 Jeep up... **DUW**
Logan 07-08-2006, 01:09 PM Picked it up yesterday at EP Price of $40k and change for a fully loaded Black 06 at Dallas Dodge in Dallas, TX... Weeeeeeeeee!!
What a ride... I've historically been a Ford guy through and through, but damn... SRT boys really have their act together in catering to the performance enthusiast at a decent price!
STL30 07-08-2006, 03:15 PM Agreed, my family has always liked Fords, disliked the bowtie guys and never really had to worry too much about the Mopar fellas. Now, we're driving foreign and the SRTs (particularly the GC SRT-8) offers a good deal that appeals to the performance enthusiast where the other domestic car makers are finally turning around to see what bit 'em in the ass. If only Plymouth were still around.... Congratulations and keep the shiny side up!
Dr.Steve 07-08-2006, 07:04 PM looks great logan, look forward to picking mine up in two weeks, same color, love the mean look

The headlight covers under the hood that cover your headlight bulbs, wiring etc you are missing both sides.

Go to page 335 in your manual and you will see a picture, (under black arrow) of what he is talking about regarding missing covers. They just slide under in front, and then you push down rear.
Logan 07-16-2006, 07:04 PM Very cool. Thanks guys. Appreciate it.
TXBLU 07-29-2006, 05:34 AM Way to go, Logan!!! I'll let you know when my '07 comes in! Terry wants to get his hands on one real bad. You should go pay him a visit.
By the way, mine will be black also. Too bad theydon't have a nice dark blue, like my True Blue L!!!

I just picked up my Black 06 SRT8 GC on Tuesday night...I am thoroughly enjoying it and I am also enjoying reading everyones experiences on the forum.
I saw this thread and went home and checked out under my hood, and I don't have the headlight covers, either. Wonder if they recently started shipping them this way or something????
omegaman 08-25-2006, 07:22 AM [QUOTE=pghpablacksrt8]Congrats!!!

Welcome to the club. Just stay out of the North Hills of Pittsburgh! We're already filled up with Black SRT8s. Including you, thats 4 I know of (including mine and the one belonging to the guy whose office is right behind mine - talk about lack of exclusivity in the parking lot). :)
Congrats!!!
