Hey all,
So I just recently received my new Polish and Wax, and I'd like to try them out. However, my Jeep still has previews Wax on it (You can see it when you spray water on it).
What's the best way I can remove the wax to start a new clean waxing job on it?
Thanks!

Dawn wash, polish then top with the wax.

I've been reading about this Dawn Wash thing, but I hear people saying it will dry out all your plastics and make them look white'ish?

I've used 3M adhesive remover with success in the past secondary to being recommended on detailing forums. It looks like 3M now makes a product called 3M adhesive and wax remover. Search the detailing forums like autopia.com for info.

Well I don't live in the US so supplies like that aren't easy to come by.
Looking online right now seeing if I can find any.
3M Wax Remover, reading on it right now. And also found Mother's Pre-Wax.
Might get the Pre-Wax from Mothers.

Ive always used Dawn kitchen soap when removing wax and stuff--never an issue with drying out the plastic pieces, just rinse off as you do it. (not allowing the soap to dry to begin with)

CLAYBAR. First, wash using BLUE Dawn dishwashing soap (everything I have read says use the BLUE, not the other colors). But most important, use a claybar after the wash, and before the polish / wax application. I keep the surface very wet; run your hand over the finish before and after using the claybar, you should be amazed at the difference.
