So first off, hello to all the fellow SRT fans out there. I have a question and wanted to know if the SRT experts on this board can help me out. I read on Edmunds.com a few months ago that there were plans at one time for an SRT version of the Commander. My buddy just bought a GC SRT-8 and I LOVE IT!!! But I HAVE to have the 3rd row. Has anyone here heard similar rumblings around, and if so, do you have any links or further info? Thanks and I look forward to posting in the future.

First, welcome to the boards!
As for the Commander, I don't know that you will see an SRT-8 version, as sales for the Commander haven't exactly taken off in the marketplace. If I hear differently, I will be sure to post.

I have some internal documents that list the Commander as one of the future vehicles being "considered" for an SRT8 model but so far have not seen any absolute confirmation. The Commander has not set any SUV sales records but last month it sold a very respectable 7,091 units (compared to 13,923 Grand Cherokees and 7,924 Drurangos).
