Thats right, you can bolt on 100hp to your 6.1 hemi for $2795. This is the best bang for the buck out there at this time. Even a supercharger cannot compete with this as far as hp per dollar spent.

What is included?
PWR 6.1 Mean Street Heads
Camshaft(NA, Supercharger, Nitrous, or Turbo grind available)
Modern Muscle Stage 2 Ported Intake

The Heads

Thats funny Joe. I replied to your pm 1 minute before you posted in this thread.

We hold all stock displacement records except the LX record. The LX record was achieved by someone who pulled 800lbs out of their car. none of my customers were willing to match that and I dont blame them, lol.

The best part is that later you can purchase a 426/440 and swap the cam and you will be making 475-525rwhp. The heads/intake carries over 100%. These are the same intake/heads that we run on all of our customers cars. The only difference is that some use titanium retainers and some do not.

I know this is a broad question, but does anyone have a ballpark of installation cost for this setup?

higshemi
07-26-2011, 10:57 PM
I ve seen installs anywhere from 500-1300 for the WK platform. Than you have to factor in about 4-500 in parts needed. Gaskets, head bolts, crank bolts, fluids etc,,, probably a new timing chain while your at it if you have some miles on your motor. I would talk to wink and ask him who did his work. He's up in your altitude.

Regardless..... Incredible deal Andys offering.

Andy, you are killing me with all your great deals.

How much more HP would I expect on my vortech jeep with this package?

I know I would lose boost pressure with the more freely flowing air. Is it better to have more HP with less boost pressure on a stock block? Or is it all the same since the same volume of air would be passing through the system?

Boost is a measure of air stored in the intake manifold. If you add heads/cam to a boosted motor and lose boost psi, that means more of the air that was stored in the manifold is now making its way into the combustion chamber where you want it. Ideally, you want to make more hp with less boost and thats exactly what this combo can do for you. If I had to guess, I would say you would see about 60-75rwhp gain with this combo.

This is where I get a little confused. More air making its way into the combustion chamber is bad for the stock engine internals?

In other words, even though you see less boost on the gauge, more air is getting to the pistons and causing more strain on them resulting in a failure.

Andy

Definitely causing more strain. Anytime you increase hp, your doing so by adding air/fuel into the combustion chamber which adds additional strain. A CAI and catback exhaust add more strain to the engine.

Whats the current price on a set of Mean Street heads Andy?

If I remember correctly, retail pricing on mean street heads is $1849, I am not sure if Andy has anything special going on with them.

If interested, my current heads will be on the market soon if you want to wait.

what makes u suggest this? no short block yet for me.lol

to a point tho. u can only put so much starin on a motor untill something goes wrong .but does more strain ='s less power?? does that make sense? if your motor is straining will it not make as much power beacuse its straining?

Its like a runner, the faster he goes, the quicker he tires. He is still faster, but just cant keep up the faster pace for long compared to the slower pace.

Seeing everything you've already bought its only a matter of time before you get one anyways. So you might as well just buy one & be done with it. Plus I'm sure Andy wouldn't mind selling another motor.
