175 is a huge stretch for the jeep, not saying it can't be done but I have seen "BahnBlast" take a still photo of his jeep over in Germany on the AutoBahn and he was pretty much maxed out at 165mph at 6100 rpm in 5th. I think the gearing and size "wind resistance" is also a bigger obstacle than getting the right mods for 175. But I guess anything is possible. Just my .2 cents.

I would figure if the GC maxes out at 165 in 5th gear, forced induction won't help any. All that will do is get you to top speed faster. Changing the gear ratio would be the only thing I would figure to up the total MPH. That or serious weight reduction.

Call John Hennessy....for a few dollars, he will get you to 175 easy.
Question, where will you run it at 175?

Are you serious?
If so, you would be the first person I have seen in a very long time to suggest someone actually take a vehicle to Hennessey.

Undergroundracing, RSI, or Hefner would be a much better choice. So far all the srt-8 turbo's are rear mount singles, underground is working on a front mount twin.
Whenever I pull the trigger I definitely plan on throwing some turbo's on it. Superchargers are cool, but turbo's are better.
