Agreed. It's people like that who have no intention of buying the vehicle that make dealerships afraid to let people test drive cars.

I like his "stress test" of gunning it followed by slamming on the brakes and then repeating the process a few more times. Who the hell is going to go out and drive like that in the real world besides some teenager.

I noticed that the guy served in the armed forces."Major Richard Cranium"
Probably some young spoiled rich kid that the dealership knows through his parents, did you see the houses where they were filming the jeep....BIG.

This is why I will never buy a new vehicle from a dealership with more than a couple of miles on the clock.

What an a$$hole!

That's a prime example of why I'm so glad that my SRT only had 4 miles on it when I bought it from the dealership!

I want to start off by saying, I feel sorry for the guy who ends up buying this one.
This guy was definetly beating the sh*t out of this sweet rig.

But I'm surprised that this one broke down. Don't some dealerships say drive it like you stole it?

The guy filming was definelty into watching the gauges.

I'm so glad mine only had 5 miles on it, and I babied it for the first 500 miles.

I would hope that this thing could take a beating like that.

What do you think he F'ed up?

...But I'm surprised that this one broke down...
The only "problem" I saw was the "Service 4WD system" warning was on, not surprising being how he abused the vehicle. Most likely nothing is broken and the code can simply be reset, but who knows what hidden damage that there might be. Greg the "tester" obviously has NO driving experience or skills, the kind of people you don't want to see on the road.

As far back as I can remember, all of the new vehicles I bought I always made sure that the mileage was in the single digits, and if not, it's onto the next model on the lot or another dealer. The difference in cost between a vehicle with 5 miles on it, and one with 100 miles is "$0.00". Peace of mind alone is worth a lot in my opinion.

Anyone near Elizabeth, KY looking to buy a new Jeep better make sure it's not the one in the video. Maybe someone will reconize the dealership from the video and send them the utube link :).

When I saw the "Elick Lane" sign, I thought that this act of stupidity may have occured near Batavia, Ohio, where I once lived. "Elick" is not a very common street name. I wonder what the stooge told the dealership when he returned the vehicle with the "service 4wd" light on? I'm sure he blamed it on the "poor Jeep quality" and not the abusive driving.

That's funny, juggernaught...because, at the beginning of the video, when they are showing the still pictures, I could have sworn there were Ohio plates on the SRT.

Where did the idea that this was done in Kentucky come from??? Is Batavia in Western Ohio??? If so, I guess it could have been taken over the border???

In any case, what an a$$hole...

If you Google map Elick Lane and Chyrsler Jeep dealer the closest connection looks like this dealer 8 miles from that possible Ohio location

Kerry Chrysler Jeep Dodge
701 Chamber Drive
Milford, OH 45150
(513) 831-7550

Wonder if that's the victimized dealer?

We should forward the video there or call them. There are a couple of shots that show the dealer. I think I saw Kia in the background too. Perhaps that are a Jeep/Kia dealer?

Jeff Wyler Jeep is located in Batavia, OH only 1/4 mile from Elick Lane. If you look in the video you can see Kia and Nissan signs next door. If you look up the nearest Nissan and Kia dealerships they are owned by Jeff Wyler and located right next to the Jeep dealership. Interesting that they currently have a black 2007 Jeep SRT8 in stock too. Coincidnece? .... I think not.

Yeah you are right! I just did some research and found the same thing. Jeff Wyler Jeep is rigt next door to Jeff Wyler Kia which you can see in the background of the video. And isnt it just a nice coincidence that when I checked their new car inventory they have one black 07 SRT8 in stock! Check out the new car inventory.

Good sleuthing guys! I would volunteer, but I moved to the Richmond, Virginia area last year. Jeff Wyler is a very big dealership complex located on Route 32 just outside of the small town of Batavia. He has many auto brands.

I thought that some of the shots were taken on Route 32, but it's difficult to tell. Batavia is about 20 miles E-NE of Cincinnati, Ohio so it is not very far to cross over the river to Kentucky.

I would love to see these guys busted! :D

The local police department could care less unless the dealership files any sort of charges.

THis guy is retarded. First for even comparing it to an escalade. Secondly for not having any idea how to stress-test a vehicle. Also, I am ordering an srt-8 towards the beginning/middle of 2008. I made it very clear to the salesman that I want to order a brand new one, and that "We have a brand new one in the back, it only has 7 (or 10 or 20) miles on the clock" does not qualify as brand new. If at all possible I would like it delivered to my front door without the dealership ever getting their hands on it, but that seems to be unlikely. Instead, I am going to find out when it is expected in and be there when it arrives. It might sound a little over the top, but if I am paying for a brand new car, I want a brand new car.

All of this is before I saw this video. The vid is just confirmation of what I already knew.

Have you ever driven in Ohio? They have reckless driving laws. And speed limits. And lots of other traffic laws that this idiot didn't quite follow.

Even if they couldn't make any charges/tickets stick, they sure could make him squirm awhile!

And how could the local PD prove who was driving the car? The driver never shows his face. Yeah, they could prove who took the car for the test drive, but never who was actually driving.
