Awesome deal, and very tempting. It is hard to do something to a perfectly running boosted jeep.

Hope you get a bunch of orders! And I'm assuming this is only for the jeep guys? -curious

Low compression (9:1) 392 would be the better choice.

For boosted: 9:1 392

Would anyone be interested in a 440 longblock? Price would be higher, but we are considering it.

You guys are killing me.....

Just spent $30k in the last 4 weeks on my back yard........
I coulda had a fresh 392, single or twin turbos, Nittos, sway arms and springs, adjustable rear shocks, new paint job, $$ to fly Jerseyboy wherever needed AND enough gas $$ to drive around for a month or 2.....

Sorry..... awesome deal and I just needed to vent :fight:

Ahh.... better now. :D

I'm considering a couple things. Its all in the Hp/$ equation. How much more would they be? What kind of bump in power does going from 426 to 440 bring, all else being equal?

The 440 adds about 20rwhp/30rwtq and $900 to the total cost.

How much can the 6.1L forged motor handle if I wanted to go boost?

How much power are you looking for? It can be built to handle almost whatever you wanted to throw at it.

So instead of getting the 392 I can just get a forged 6.1l longblock for $2800 or is it a shortblock?I don't know how much I want to make yet.I'm trying to start from the ground up.maybe 700-800?

How much can the 6.1L forged motor handle if I wanted to go boost?

Std 6.1L forged shortblock: 800-1000hp roughly
With Options: More than the head gaskets can handle. Around 1300hp you might begin blowing out head gaskets.
