Are the factory wheels clearcoated? I used some Blue MagicŪ on one and could swear I got oxidation off of it.

Also, what is the best way to clean them without scratching either the clearcoat (if there is cc) and without having to flood the brake rotors (rust) and wash the entire tire/wheel? I am looking for a daily, or semi-daily method of keeping the wheels looking clean without a total car wash. Where I live you never see dirty vehicles, and I want the Jeep SRT8 community well represented! TIA

I do believe the wheels are clearcoated. Unfortunately if the Jeeps are anything like the srt products there is no easy way to clean the wheels and keep them clean. I have bee battling the brake dust on every vehicle I own. I recently powder coated my viper wheels gunmetal to hide all the dust.

Thanks z_g, I know what you mean. I had a C5 Z06 that came with gunmetal gray wheels and they were the easiest to keep looking good. In the past couple of days I have come up with a method for frequent wheel maintenance: I use 2 microfiber cloths, 1 wet to wipe the dust off followed by a dry one to lightly polish the wheel. I keep rinsing the wet cloth between wheels. This only takes 5-10 minutes, and leaves no scratches on the wheels.
