: Another stock black GC SRT8
stevesvt 07-07-2007, 06:02 AM As if you guys haven't seen enough pictures of new stock SRT8s.
Got mine about a week ago in Korea. On day 1 the emblems came off. Within the first week I have removed the emblems, tinted the fronts and replaced the stock headunit.

HoustonSRT-8 07-07-2007, 09:51 AM Nice. Looks like you got the US spec wheels/tires as well instead of the skinny Euro-Spec.
slow91 07-07-2007, 02:19 PM Nice. The little one looks quite comfortable.
OurZoo 07-07-2007, 03:05 PM Stock and something we've seen yes, but not in a country we've seen that I can think of. In any event, congrats on the ride and the bundle of joy. Now go to babiesrus.com and get their seat protector to put underneath the baby seat. It's gray and I think you will be happier with it than your towel.
T-Time 07-07-2007, 03:52 PM Nice dark window tint. Right off the bat!!
For some reason I bet Korean Police have more important things to do, rather than harass you and the new baby about your window tint.:D
How about some more pics. of the Jeep at different sites in Korea!!

It is US Spec. I'm a contractor out here and I picked it up through military sales. From start to finish, it took about 8 months to get here. It usually doesn't take that long but I guess I was one of the lucky ones...
BAD ASP 07-07-2007, 10:19 PM Very nice, congrats on the baby. He's bouund to grow up with a bit of a growl required in everything he drives.

My wife is already complaining about it. He's only 6 weeks old and he calms down every time I goose it while scaring the crap out of her :D
Funny, you would think she would be used to it after driving my Lightning for so long
Sweeeet....
Im from canada and my Front display screen looks nothing like yours??? whats up with that?? that looks great compared to mine is that the 2008??
stevesvt 07-08-2007, 03:02 AM It's a 2007. I replaced the stock unit with a Kenwood.

I am assuming you are talking about the stereo.
I can't use US Spec navigation units because I wouldn't be able to load Korea maps into it. Because of that, I purchased the SRT8 without the Navigation.
I can't even begin to go into the reasons an after market stereo is better than the stock one. I'll just say quality, features, and expandability.
The Kenwood I bought isn't Navigation, but I can buy a Navigation add-on for it.
sbkim 07-08-2007, 03:10 PM stevesvt - looks great and congrats! I can't recall how far Daegu is from Seoul but I will be in Seoul next year and would be great to meet up with you.

Well if you are Korean, you would think it was like driving from California to New York.
I like the drive. I can pretty much open it up and have fun during the trip. My navigation tells me where all of the speed cameras so I don't have to worry too much. Even without the navigation, all of the cameras have signs posted well in advance.
It's only about 200 miles or so. I usually get from my house to Seoul or Osan in about 2.5-3 hours with moderate traffic.
I have heard there are 2 other GC SRT8s, a charger SRT8 and a 300 SRT8 in country. I was actually surprised. I think I have the only lightning in country though.
kramsay1234 07-08-2007, 08:26 PM Looks great. You seem to have taken the fishing pole antenna off as well. Nice colour!

Ha, I never even put it on. It shipped like that and I didn't bother putting it on. I have a shorty on order right now more for looks than anything. I haven't listened to the radio in a car for years.
I can't bring myself to delete the antenna altogether yet. I hate the idea of getting bodywork done on a new vehicle.
