Hey guys i have had my truck 2 months now and love it.... I find one thing in particular annoying....Anyone have trouble with your cell phone connecting to U Connect and then unconnecting, then connecting and unconnecting...over and over again?? Sometimes it works great all day and other times (most days) it connects and unconnects over and over again... Super annoying specially if i am trying to text. It only unconnects when i am off the phone (not during calls) but still ill have to answer on the handset then it will connect mid conversation?? Anyone experience this or know how to fix it?? i have a blackberry if that matters....

That sounds like a problem... Good Luck getting it fixed at the dealer. I had a different problem on a past Chrysler 300c. And I don't think they have techs. for it. Each dealer I'd call "Is that aftermarket", and act like they didn't know what u-connect was.

Hope to hear more info. from other members.

I can tell you that I use a blackberry and the u-connect has worked perfect from day one. Never disconnected once. Only time is when blackberry battery is too low and turns off bluetooth internally.

You definitely have a problem.

IIRC, someone on the jeepsunlimited site had similar problem, they un-paired and re-paired and they didn't have any more issues. Maybe worth a try.

The thing I hate about the Uconnect system is having to go through all the menus to make a phone call. Example:

T Time ...i know what you mean i tried bring my jeep in to the dealer yesterday to have them install HID's i bought the service lady didnt even know what the jeep srt8 was..... i hate when i know more then the dealers

You can eliminate one question by only assigning 1 phone number to a person. My most called numbers only have a single phone number attached. That said, it SOOO much easier to use the phone's speed dial listings to initiate the call.

Well, I can tell you that my u connect coonects my call but doesn't turn on the speakers till about 10-15 sec after the call is connected. The other day it finally started working properly (connecting and turning on speakers as soon as I hit send), now it's back to 15 sec after the call connects..... WTF?

Uconnect works very well on the iphone. You can also 'shut her up' by hitting the 'Voice Recognition Button' during any voice prompt (next to the phone button). I use this when pairing devices and it saves over a minute easily.

I have the exact same problem: 1) it connects, 2) it disconnects, 3) I start talking into the phone, 4) after a few seconds it re-connects. Sometimes it works perfectly but I never know what to expect.

I have programed many other Jeeps without any problem so I'm sure that I am doing it right. I hate to replace the whole radio unit, but this is driving me nuts.

there is a module flash for this, bulletin #08-014-06 hands free module update with star scan and module reset. for a possible quick fix try to unplug your iod fuse for 10 seconds with ignition off, plug back in after 10 seconds turn key to on position (engine not running) and press uconnect button to see if working. if not---off to dealer. happened to me on a couple occasions
