Neighbor just brought home a bright red SS-R pickup and his first stop was by my driveway to request a race...anyone know how quick those trucks are???

Thanks...

This was a man that bought it, or a woman? Not really liking the looks of those.

You'll smoke it!

newer ones got an LS1 motor. the older ones use the 5.something from the envoy's and trailblazers. Either way you will make it look silly.

2005 and beyond used LS2 400Hp (6 speed) or LS2 395 HP (automatic). Car and Driver lists at 5.5s 0-60 and 14.1s quarter (they are VERY heavy) with stick, so you should do just fine.

The owner is a retired guy. He also has a CTS Caddie...not a "V". He states that it has the "Corvette" engine in it. Does not sound like it has had any mods. I'm planning on heading up to the little 1/8 mile track Friday night and I'll invite him to follow. Thanks for the input. I'll let everyone know how it goes if when we line'em up.

Have him get in line ahead of you. At least he will have one chance to see the front of your GC

Those things are to ugly to be fast? Do they even make them anymore?

LMAO. If I had a nickel for every time I've heard that lame phrase(true as it may be) I'd be a millionaire.

Yet, still heavy. In fact, ~60lbs heavier than the SS-R. Amazing how that happens.
