In the USA we have 2 gases at the pump we use its 91 and 93 octane so use at least 91 or higher.

Ok PAULIE. Yes we here have oxygen in our gas and not sure about in the uk. All of the states in the usa are mandaded to have no more than 3.5% oxygen in the gas. Most have anywhere from 1.8 to 3.5% oxygen in there gas which helps make more hp than non oxygenated gas. We also have unleded race gas with very hi oxygen which makes them for off road use only. All of the unleded race gas have oxygen% from 4.8 to 6.3% and octane level of 98 to 105. We also have 100 octane at our pumps with 3.3% oxygen but there not that many around and some states dont even carry it. Heres the gas we have for the srt8.
91 octane with 1.8 to 3.5% oxygen.
93 octane with 3.5% oxygen.
100 octane with 3.3% oxygen.

Off road use only. Unleded race gas.
E15 SUNOCO 98 OCTANE / 5.6% OXY
SUNOCO 104 OCTANE / 4.8% OXY
VP109 105 OCTANE / 6.3% OXY

If i remember correctly...Octane in the rest of world is calculated differently then it is here in the US. I would look online to see what the octane rating in the uk compares to us octane rating. Just so you know.

I used 95 (i.e. not super) without any issue before I uploaded a tune and 98 (i.e. super) after... and I fall into Shell's marketing "trap" and fill in "V-Power 100" whenever I have the choice...

91US = 95 ROZ

93US = 98 ROZ -
in the European Manuals is 98 ROZ recommended, but the Hemi with his knock sensors can also handle 95 Roz - but the engine doesnt have the full power with 91 US/95ROZ

I never got a "European manual" with mine, but the '07 US manual asks for 91 or higher, immediately adding that "light spark knock at low engine speeds is not harmful to your engine" :rolleyes: (wkjeeps.com has the owner manuals online).

I use regular unleaded as it is only needed until the engine is slightly warm and LPG kicks in.....:)

Talked to a local garage that does tuning. They told me that the European 98 is not as good as the US 93 gasoline, and the best available is the pricier Shell "V100".

Apparently, it's not just oil company marketing bullsh*t, the guy said the V100 is better, and he doesn't own or operate a Shell gas station... so I am inclined to believe him. :D

Just my 2 pence / cents / kopeks.
