The Quadradrive II system which is standard on Overland, and optional on Limited, has 3 computer-controlled electronically locking differentials (center, front, rear).
The system puts as much as 100% of the torque to any combination of wheels with traction. We don't have this system on our jeep, with the exception of the center differential. The front and rear are open.
The rear differential is also larger than a standard Dana44, and incorporates a larger 8.9" ring gear.
The feasability of a swap is possible, however, the two biggest issues you will run into is:
1)Would the system work properly and would any aditional computer control system be needed.
2)Would the system hold up the big torque the SRT puts to the pavement. Locking up all 4 wheels with 450+ lbft of torque could hand-grenade your transmission/transfer case. Remember that a regular vehicle can only put down so much torque to the wheels before the tires start to spin, essentially acting as a natural "clutch" to avoid breaking things. This brings up the question of "why didn't jeep put Quadradrive II into the SRT8?". My guess is that during testing they started breaking all kinds of parts, and realized that they only wanted 2 wheels spinning (1 front and 1 rear). They also didn't want to give us a Dana60, so they got cheap and modified the 44 as a way to save money.
A true Jeep Electronic AWD system would be SICK in the SRT if it was strong enough to hold up. Spinning 4 tires on a 5000lb vehicle would take probably in excess of 500whp.

Yep...the open rear diff is a problem.
I am having a 9" Ford posi unit (with full antilock brake compatibility etc) built using the brackets from my spare diff. Not easy to find a company to work with our limited production vehicles. Western Diff in AZ is taking good car of me and a couple of others. The 9" Ford swap will drain your wallet $ 3000++.
