: Lease info: a little help please.
srt29 07-02-2007, 10:14 AM Hey Boys,
I wanted to see if anyone could give me some ideas of lease payments based on an '07 at $42,000.00 for 24 and 36 months with first month down only. I currently have a 300 SRT on a 24 month lease but I had traded in my Ram SRT-10 on that deal. I'm looking to do this in a couple of days.
Thank you in advance, any help is appreciated.
2007GCSRT8 07-02-2007, 10:24 AM I am in a lease, I can tell you what I have, but nothing further.
27 month lease.
18,000 miles per year.
46,580 was the sticker price on a 2007.
I rolled the taxes, title and all other BS into the payment.
At the closing all I paid was my first month's payment.
$962 per month.
Let's not start a lease/buying arguement. I like leases, and they work for me. I'm happy! :D

There is nothing wrong with leasing, I completely agree with that!
I just ran a lease, 12000 miles a year, $0 due at signing, Illinois taxes rolled in
Based on a $42,000 selling price
39-863
36-907
27-1032
24-1121
srt29 07-02-2007, 10:32 AM Thank you. That info helps alot and I will give you a call regarding those numbers you ran.
TypeR0149 07-02-2007, 11:03 AM these trucks really dont lease well.
My wife has a lease on a Lexus LS460($68,000)
36month x 15k
1000 due at signing
910 a month
-----------------------------
when i worked a lease deal on my SRT8 is was
36months x 15k
0 due at signing
947 a month
I bought the SRT8 needless to say
Untouchable 07-02-2007, 11:15 AM just buy it, it wont cost you that much more, and you ll have somethig at the end.
when you lease you ride down depreciation. The "slide" is a lot steeper on this car versus a lexus or benz
2007GCSRT8 07-02-2007, 11:59 AM I will say that going into this lease I didn't know a lot about sportscars or the whole "modding" thing. I have learned so much from this site about the Jeep and other cars. If I had to do all over again, I think I would buy this car outright. But at the time a lease was the best option for me for various reasons.
I would hate to drop 5-10 thousand into this car and then return in with nothing to show for. And my guess is that modding would be against the language in your lease as well. You should think about that ahead of time as well.

Or... Lease it, mod the hell out of it, drive it like you stole it for the duration of the lease, then put it back to stock, turn it back in & sell your mods. Not that I condone such actions... But I have seen it done a time or few.
Yea, modding is probably against the language of the lease. But proving there were mods is an altogether different thing. :D
SleeperSRT 07-02-2007, 05:34 PM There are more than a few of us that bought when the Jeep wasn't out and now consider the Jeep because of many features it offers that a Sedan just doesn't, but the main thing i see is if your happy with relatively stock power and want the next New thing, leasing is Awesome, just seems the payments aren't as low as lease payments should be.
scottina06 07-02-2007, 09:11 PM damn....those payments are about as much as my mortgage!
