All with a black Rig... After waiting until we had a decent day to actually detail the outside of my rig. Someone recommended this product so I gave it a try.

Results... The deep, wet look, streakless finish of the Black Box products is unbelievable given all my frustrations of the past using conventional wax. It excels is in those lightly chipped areas (front bumper) or where body panels closely fit together. I'll see how long it last but overall, I'm pleased with the results. One thing, the process did take me all day that included exhaust tips and wheels. Before I forget, wear gloves.

Roll Out!!

Thanks Brad King!!

I agree!
But, I do think this stuff is awesome. I detail cars on the side and use this on a few customers cars and the results are awesome!

I used it once about a year ago, it worked really well on my black suburban. Seems to hide a lot because of all the black product. I have since decided to try some of adams polishes.

But If I was buying off the shelf, I would have bought it again.

It works well on light imperfections. The polish is a nice touch, works well by hand, and is really what makes the car look nice before the wax. I am not sure about durability, or how long it looks nice.

I did mine this weekend, and it had a flawless finish. Clayed, 3M Perfect-it 3 compound, then the black box. I am seeing a few light swirls appear now, but still looks really nice. Maybe I should have continued to the 3M polish, and expected a bit much from the black box polish?

For 20 bucks, its a great product. People tend to get snobby with off the shelf detailing products, but as far as they go, I got the best initial results from the black box but I am sure like any black vehicle, keeping it maintained will be a weekly chore.

Well, I just hit my hood and front panels with the black box. MIxed reviews. I used a very basic approach. Cleaned the jeep with a degreaser than followed the directions. Applied the wax cleaner with my orbital let it dry to a haze then used the instant detailer to wipe off. Step 2 was applying the wax and letting it haze again. I found it difficult to work with, there was alot of hazing from the left over from the wax and didn't seem to cut or fill the fine scratches as much as I thought. To remove the the residue or hazing I then washed the waxed areas in Zaino car wash and dried. It definitly has a nice look to it, but again when you look up close there are still fine swirl marks.

I wrote off 2 orbital pads and 4 Microfibre towels in the process, making it a little more expensive waxing.

I could see this product really performing when used in conjunction with other cut products though. Using a mild cut pad with cut compound than following the black box directions would probably yield pretty good results.

Okay Chris, I'll help you out. Here are a few pics that Stacy from shopHEMI took at the MIR event this past weekend. Now didn't I say your rig looks great? ;)

I just did it today on mine. Worked pretty well, better than a standard wax on a black car anyway! I really like the outcome, but I will 2nd the "wear Gloves" comment. My hands came out pretty black. And better have all of an afternoon available since you pretty much go over the entire thing 4 times. But looks great. Here are some pics!

short story. I purchase my GCSRT-8 3 wks ago tomorrow. Got it home and black boxed it the following weekend. I fell even more in love with it. Took it to the dealership to have it detailed and for got to tell them not to do the outside. Result, I'm black boxing it again this weekend...completely disappointed considering how it looked after I finished it. Sorry, i'm done.
