HoustonSRT-8 06-30-2007, 08:04 AM I'm not so much for all black wheels with no lip or anything to set them apart. I think it would have been good to leave the "SRT" lettering silver.
If my truck was black, I'd have done the exact same thing. I'd also lose the chrome. THe stock wheels look great in all black IMO.

I love those rims, makes our jeeps go into stealth mode at night, preying on the weak and they would never guess what the fck that black nightrider when we smoke them.

navyavi469 07-04-2007, 05:48 PM A lot of cars started doing the blackouts and some look better than others. The Z06 IMO is one of the best looking rides with powder coated rims.
I just can't warm up to the Jeep though, there's too much chrome on the damn thing to begin with, and too much clearance between the wells and wheels. Maybe lowered with all the chrome removed and limo tint.... but just to black out the wheels.. meh... to each his own.

Ronin 07-15-2007, 12:53 PM Looks hawt! I definitely like the look and I'm thinking about doing the same thing for my winter wheels/tires after I get some 22s. The polished finish on the stockers is awful and it's ridiculous how easily they scratch just from simple cleaning. The powder coat would make the brake dust (which I don't mind) that much more bearable.
Nicely done, details about cost, etc., are appreciated!
