Just called up a authorized BORLA dealer (no name will be mentioned, except that the word MOTORING is in the name, and area code for manhattan also :D ) to see what the s type installed would run me, and the guy bashed BORLA and said that...
1st borla doesnt make one for the srt8....(:p :p dumb a$$)...
2nd that he recommends the B&B one, that the B&B is throatier.
3rd that the B&B has 4 four inch tips.
4th that with an exhaust one should be different, and Borla isn't.

Now someone that knows please tell me how dumb he is (we all know hes dumb because obviously Borla makes a exhaust for the SRT8), but at the same time is the B&B stuff right?

1. Yes Borla makes one for the GCSRT
2. B&B exhaust welds have been known to come apart - they are poorly built
3. Who cares...the Borla has 5" tips
4. Find a new shop, cause the guy you spoke with is incompetent

1. Borla does make a set up for the Jeep ( S type and touring)
2. Not sure if it is throatier, the borla S does sound nice and loud.
3. Borla S has 5 in. Tips
4. The stock set up was nice but the Borla S is definately different...ask my Neighbors.

i know about the borla,( all the numbered things were this he said, not me) what i didn't know was about the problems with B&B, this site is awesome very insightful. what i said about the B&B was that he said that the exhaust has 4 SEPARATE four inch tips, i know that borla has 2 five inchers.

What an idiot. Uneducated salesmen should not offer opinions to customers.

Here's a Jeep saleperson that isn't Don:

Me: "Hi. Do you have any SRT-8 Jeeps?"

Him: "Uhhh... no. You know you have to pay the gas guzzler tax on that, right?"

Me: "Oh well, thanks for your time."

Here's another:

Me: "Hi. Do you have any SRT-8 Jeeps?"

Him: "Yes. It flies too. It's got a supercharged engine in it. And it can read your mind too. When you're idling or just cruising, it shuts off half the cylinders."

Me: "Ohhhh...."

Thanks Don for not being one of "them". Thread hi-hack over. Back to the exhausting subject now.....

I have the B&B and absolutely love it.

To say it is poorly made, that has to come from someone that has not used it, installed it, or held it.

It is very HIGH in craftsmanship, Has there been seam that have broken, Yes. But if you look at the % compared to the sales your chances are very good.

If you want to hear it here ya go.

The only bad part in the B&B setup is the placement of the X pipe. I feel it should be much closer to the Cats or headers.

Plus 1 on the BB for me. Could not be happier with it. Many, many thousands of miles on it towing at 75-85 with lots of heat. No issues at all, welds or otherwise. Let it cool, spray it with windex, occasionally a little Never Dull, and looks like new. No blueing or rust spots.

Great sound, great tips, great product overall imho. AND....purchase price of well below $1000. in a group buy from Edwin at SHR. (whose customer service was excellent by the way....

Another plus 1 for the B&B system. The exhaust is a work of art, sounds badazz, and increased my Jeeps performance
