Rule of thumb is that when everything is setup perfectly, you gain 2hp per 1cfm. This is far from a perfect scenario, but we should have no problem seeing an additional 25rwhp using these ported Apache heads over our ported 6.1 heads. These heads should easily support 750hp NA.

The only loss was at .200". Increased everywhere else. This was ver 1.0 of the apache Intake/Exhaust port. We put allot of effort in the exhaust port in order to increase the exhaust to intake ratio which isnt very good in stock form.

Stock Exhaust/Intake Ratio: 61.7%
Ported Exhaust/Intake Ratio: 65%

I am looking into a set of 6.4 heads. Are they just ported 6.1's? I saw on another forum they are running 2.13/1.65 correct? I just want to get to 500hp(BHP)

They are drastically different from 6.1's. Completely new castings.

Since they are "drastically" different. Am I still allowed to assume that they will bolt on and all passage ways match up?

Can't wait. I am no flow expert, but i found it a little disheartning to see the stock 6.1 heads flow better on the low end. :-/ But I can't wait to see what the ported ones do and hopefully they are something that I want as much as I think I do right now.

I think it was only at one point and I doubt it will be noticeable. These will be going on a stroker motor Andy is building for me so we wont be able to quantify directly how much better they are than the other options but using corrected dyno numbers it should give some what of an idea.

Damn those are some great looking heads your putting out there Andy! And wow 2 hp for every cfm means those will produce 66hp!!! Big numbers man!

Well verson 1.0 didnt last long. We are now on to version 1.1 on the intake port with improved numbers and velocity. New numbers below and in post 1.

Went 11.06 with a converter not locking up. Very close to 10s.
