Yet another burn story !!! After burning my friends 06 M5 and another buddies 06 CLS 55 AMG , it was my friends 06 supercharged range sport's turn to be laid down to rest .This is how it went down . Went to eat with two buddies of mine as we were leaving the restaurant the friend with the Range asked me to swap surely thinking i would jump on the offer i straight up told him "why would i ". also i had other plans in mind Well guess what we ended up at a light next to another he was anialated both times GOD I LOVE THIS TRUCK !!!!

I just picked up my black SRT8 two weeks ago, and I too, love this truck!

I took it in to get detailed, and another guy sitting there waiting says "That looks like one of those new Range Rover Sports". So I says "Nope, that'd be a Cherokee, and it will absolutely blow any Range Rover off the road!" :D

But to be realistic, the M5 with the V10, packing 550 HP should be able to handily take this truck, and there's no real shame in that, fastest sedan in the world, by far... ;)

the m5 was beaten in the rain but still beaten im sure on dry pavement i would lose but its still fun to tell the story !! allthough from what i can gather the M5 is 4.6 zero to 60 thats not to far from the 4.8 or 9's reported here

o own a ranger rover spots supercharge and a srt8 i love the srt8 much better but the range rovers is more class its all good

In the AutoWeek magazine, they tested an SRT8 against a RR Sport and they said they would take the SRT8 on a budget, but get the RR Sport if they had enough money. The SRT8 beat the RR Sport by more than two seconds in the 0-60 test, and costs almost half as much.

And this truck is really impressive, no doubt about it. I let my buddy drive it and every 5 minutes he'd be swearing under his breath over the unlimited amount of power he had at his foot, which I have done as well! :D

I read that BMW conservatively estimates 4.7 in 0-60 at Edmunds.com, and I haven't driven one, but having driven a larger 740 (4.0 v8) and noting its rather impressive performance for a vehicle that size, I'd have to assume the M5 is a really impressive performer! Perhaps its pilot was a little light in the loafers? :confused:

I guess the RR Sport can be more posh, I'll stick with my 6.1 litre super Hemi!! :D

Dude I own both and while this truck is a blast and a rocket for a truck the M5 will walk all over it and back again. I doubt the guy was even trying.

I can also say that since a CLS55 in a straight line may even pull on my M5 up to 100MPH, I doubt he was trying either.
