Don't normally post these but this was funny. Picked my Jeep up after a service, wife driving behind me in her car. Pull up to a set of lights in the third lane just as the lights go green, Beamer and G35 are side by side in lanes 1 + 2 and both go for it, G35 takes him. Half a mile or so down the road, another set of lights. BMW and G35 once again line up, I pull up in the 3rd lane and stop. Lights change and both cars floor it, G35 pulls a car or so on the Beamer before the driver sees me alongside him smiling. I then stamp on it and pull away from the G35 quite comfortably until I am a couple of car lengths ahead. Next set of lights, the G35 pulls up alongside, the passenger window lowers - the very surprised looking driver laughs, shrugs his shoulders, lifts his ball cap and simply says 'what the hell is that?'. Golden moment, even wifey was laughing about it.

Good story man! I cant wait to have my own (stories and GCSRT8)

lol i love those g35's , I had one try to take me from a light and i didnt even go off the line i just rolled the throttle , took his @ss big from the 1-2 B&G shift and than he just stayed back...waaayyyyy back i'm sure with his head down in shame

are those the new G35s?

i have taken many unsuspecting bimmers who underestimate my G35 coupe. i've been looking for one of those new 330 coupes to run with since they got bumped like 30hp from last year's model, but no luck so far. of course the Jeep would simply obliterate my car, that's a given. i need something with more balls and cargo space, so the GCSRT is the next step for me. :)

Razorecko, the guy who tried to race you clearly has no idea what the SRT badge means. in the category the G runs with (BMW330, Lexus IS350, etc) it's quick, but against an SRT he was bringing a knife to a gunfight. unless he did what i do sometimes, which is provoke a car i know i can't beat just to see what it can really do

i've had the G35 coupe for 3 years and it's a pleasure to drive (infiniti service has been very good too, despite my mods)... she's more of a freeway rocket than a stoplight bruiser, but definitely a head turner.

I'm not going to knock the G35, very nice car with a lot of power up top. My last 'daily' was a 350Z, enjoyed that too.

I love the way the g's look - nice ride, the guy definitley didnt have a clue what he was going up against but lesson learned and im sure next time he wont poke the bear with a stick :D
