damn yo! getting delivery of my new TCM (Trans is already at the shop) this Friday....going to see if i can't get an appointment that day and get it done that day, but thinking it more than likely wont be back together until the following week. had to do the cruise without me eh? :(

hold up!, isn't this that dirt trial through the mountains? if it is the drive i am thinking of....it would be difficult for an SRT Jeep. not to mention very messy. may not be the dirt road i am thinkin of, but based on the map it looks like it could be.

the map was provided to me by an SRT8 Charger guy from LX. so I wouldnt worry about your Jeep......just follow him when we get close :lol:

I checked out the path in Google Earth. Some of it is paved, but it looks like some isn't. Of course most of Google's sat data is as old as Methuselah. But if a LX can make the grade, I'd think we would have no issues at all. Just saying...

Thanks for your efforts Rob but It will be a big maybe for me at this point. A 3 hour, 130 mile drive is a healthy one for this old Geezer.. tacked on to another hour drive home from the Springs. Need to chew/gum on this one awhile.

I do hope we can get everyone together soon however just for a meet & greet some afternoon. It's been a while for me and lots of new faces I haven't met or can't remember (another Geezer reference) and I need to be updated by Wink on his Vortec experiences.

Yeah I want to check out Grant's new rig. Last I heard Michael said he was working with Toona on a tuning issue. Did he get it all resolved?

I am in the National Guard and we have drill the weekend of the LX meet so I wouldnt get to meet those who are going. So we should def get something planned soon. Also Travis St Pats is next week!

That's Colorado for you! I check 4 or 5 sites and then kind of average in my head to determine what the real story is. Always thought it was funny. All weather stations get their data from the same place, yet they all report something different... ???

The best bet will be check Saturday but as we get closer look like is getting better...
The most accurate for me is wunderground but they all say pretty much the same thing 20 to 40% chance of rain/snow and I bet saturday will drop to 10%!

I just got my catch can and SRT badge so at least I will have something new! LOL!

I won't have time for a meet first. After I run my batches I'm heading straight to Sedalia, depending on the weather. I don't think the cruise part is gonna happen, at least for me. Every source I've checked says rain and or snow by afternoon. The organizer said it the weather intervenes we'll reschedule for next weekend.

Man I knew you GC guys would know what was going on :) I have been watching this thread on the chargerforum and have seen 7 posts and three of them are from me:) I will see you guys in Sedalia and like you guys I won't make the cruise.......I did get a chuckle reading the route part of this thread where it sounded like some of you Jeep guys were afraid of some dirt....coming out of my first CO winter(mild one at that) with a 2 wheel drive charger I should be the one afraid of a dirt road:) Cant wait to see you guys again......JOHN

I've got a couple of routes in mind for a short cruise, but its going to mean that the central meeting spot is around Park Meadows. For spring and summer we can alternate between up north and down south to make it easier for members to make it. What do you all think?

We had a good turn out at the MNG.......There were a couple of nice Jeep's and a variety of other MOPAR muscle!

Yeah it was a good meet, and good seeing you again John, as well as the others. I love that last pic of yours. The little girl ogling the Hemi. LOL!

But I made the right decision to skip the cruise. First drops by 285, and raining pretty good by the time I hit Golden. Just started snowing as I pulled up to the house. Good thing it was only 18 cars instead of the 50-100 that were predicted. We always seem to pick a place too small.

I know a really big lot that's always empty (except during the Mopar Mile High Nationals). It's the one in front of Bandi on the 470 side of the access road. We've met there once, and the security guy knows me and said it's cool. We could put 200 cars in there, and it's always open.

Well fellas I got to say yall missed out on a great and I mean great cruise...lol. Yea the clouds came but we saw just a few little drops nothing to heavy at all. We went up in the mountains and hit all types of turns and curves. plus there was no traffic up there so we got to open them up around the turns. It was really fun, and I have to say I suprised a few othe the lx's and srt4's and myself in the jeep. That thing can hold its on when its dealing with turns and curves. The nitto invo's are a great tire for turns. We had 3 chargers and 3 srt4's and 1 jeep(me).

Cool Jamal! I almost joined you, but was more concerned about the drive back from the Springs at the end. And yeah our Jeeps handle better than they have any right to!

Park Meadows is a great Central place if you consider the peeps in the Springs and such/

i saw the clouds rolling in and decided to take a RAINcheck. lol that plus i had to make a quick run to the airport at 10 in the AM. definitely didn't appear to be a good day for a cruise in the mountains (since i couldn't even see the mountains)...Saturday would have been the optimal day...i did a lil cruising around Sat and managed to intimidate quite a few people...nobody even wanted to play (too scared i guess)...this list included a nice 68' camaro, what looked like an 09 Saleen, a LP560 Murc., and a few spec'd out 328 BMW's...the only ones with enough courage to be persistent were the BMW's...go figure. the LAmbo tried to intimidate me by hitting it, but once i showed what my Jeep was capable of he became very scared and let off. lol

thats badass roger... and we can hit up the golden cruise it started saturday we can go this next go around

I had drill for the Army or I would have loved to come check it out. I am ready for a meet and cruise real soon. Park Meadows is a good one plus I would like to meet a couple of the Springs guys since that is where I am from originally. Lets plan a meet soon. Sat in the afternoon is the best for me.
