Crusing along at 80MPH and jumped up to 105MPH or so and the oil temperature quickly jumped well over 215 and what I guess is some kind of warning shreeking sound comes from somewhere. No warning message from the computer and the temperature quickly goes back to 200 or so and everything seems fine. Repeated the same situation about 8 hours later. Anyone have any ideas? Headed to the dealer tomorrow but looking for advice. 1500 miles on the SRT GC.

My windshield makes a loud shriek if temp is over 85 and speed is over 85. I had the dealer reseal, but to no avail. Thought it was a fix, as it held at 105 on the way home at 11 pm. Returned with parking in the Florida sun at lunch the next day.

My oil temp regularly hits 240 driving in 90 degree heat in south Florida. No alarms heard to date.

That makes sense...both days it was around 95 in TN and the GC had been sitting in an open parking lot all day. I've read alot on other boards where the oil temp can hang around 240 with high temps and hard driving. It is not a sound you want to hear from your vehicle...I originally thought my radar dectector had gone off full alert and I was toast. Thanks for the info.
