Well, after close to 3 years of use, my rims are starting to show swirl marks when clean and under the sun.

What can I use to safely remove these unsightly swirl marks?

Thanks

Steve

LOL Muellge, that's going way to the other side!

By paint do you mean powdercoat??

Saw your signature... WOW!! Congrats.... can you please PM me with details on what I can do to beef up my drivetrain and tranny now? I want to make sure my ride is bulletproof and solid for years to come.

Is there a way to polish the factory wheels?

Good luck getting them out. You'd have to treat it like a paint correction on your body. It would be difficult due to the angles. It's possible though.

^^Mothers powerball may work with either Mothers polish or Eagle one polish(the best of the best).Either brand may also make Polishing compound. But you have to know what you are doing as it can leave more swirls if done incorrectly.

I'd so powdercoat them.

Mine show a decent amount after 10k miles and a lot of washes..

I guess the trick is little to no pressure! To much pressure and . I may try using my Gloss-it paint correction stuff on the wheels.

The powerball doesn't really have enough balls to do any correcting. The foam is way too soft. You're gonna need a DA at LEAST to try and get any scratches out. Best way to get them out would go to a pro who can use a high speed polisher on them and have them use a low setting. They're clearcoated so they would know how to be careful if they're smart that is. A DA buffer would really be kinda a pita to get in there really. A small 2.75" or 3" pad would be best.

Harry, what if I used my cyclo polisher? Can that do the trick? IF so, what color pad should I use? Orange, green or yellow? Thinking green?

Thanks
