I knew it was getting close, and it ended up being the last day of my 3yr / 36k warranty yesterday FEB 1st!

I need to purchase an extended warranty, I would like to have bumper to bumper 100k miles.

A couple questions I had.

-The vehicles has 35,500 miles on it. Can I still get a factory extended warranty, even if my 36 months is 1 day old?

-Should I call the dealer or are there other companies that offer extended warranties? If so, has anyone had good experience with any?

Any other advice would be helpful! Can't believe how 3 years just flew by!

I think you can get a factory warranty if the vehicle is less than 4 years.
Do a search for chrysler warranties and you will find several dealers selling the Chrysler Service contract online.
I bought one from Zeigler online and it actually comes directly from Chrysler no matter where you purchase if.

You have up to 4 years, you can check pricing and options here:

http://www.chryslerwarrantys.com/

When form asks for name email just make up something and it will advance you to the pricing page.

What money are you talking about?

As much as I do not want to not get a warranty I am willing to shell out thousands parts and hundreds on labor if something does go wrong. If I lived where it didn't snow and drove my Jeep on the weekends it wouldn't be a big deal, but after my daily commute in the Maxima I drive the Jeep as much as possible.

Just got back from the dealer. Here are the prices I got quoted.

Chrysler MaxCare
7yr/100000mi $2990

Resource Warranty Group
4yr/60000mi (additional from date of purchase) $2761

ChryslerWarrantys dot com Maxcare
7yr/100000mi $2988

Do these numbers look about right?

Anyone have promotion codes for chryslerwarranty dot com?

Are these prices negotiable?

Those numbers look a little lower then when I had mine quoted but they vary depending on the market you are in. I ended up going with a 3rd party the day my factory ran out and it cost a little under $1900. It turns out the company I went with is notorious for refusing to cover severe claims like engine replacement so I recommend going with a Chrysler brand warranty to get as clost to the same coverage as you can.

The one time I called to make a claim they told me the shock cartridge wasn't covered. Luckily my factory warranty wasn't too far out of expiration so a phone call to Chrysler cut down the cost of the repair.

Do your homework.

Yes, the prices are negotible! Florida is not a state that can discount from list price. If a dealer can make a couple of hundred, they will. Ask a few, and they don't need to be in your state.

I used ziegler auto group as well. I remember it was a much better deal than from the stealership itself. I was kind of worried if it was legit though. Went to the dealer to have them look up in the chrysler database and i was there for a 7yr 100k

Extended warranty is a profit center for dealers and they can be negociated to a price. Florida and I guess a few other states regard warrenties as insurance and are not allowed to be discounted. I bought mine out of statre and yes, it goes on the computer to verify . You also get papers from Chrysler to show your coverage. I think the $100 deductable saves a few hundred on the policy. Good luck.......I also covered my Viper with 7 years and 50,000 miles.
