Finally I get the chance to run my Jeep on the drag strip...I loved it! We all had a great time, I plan to be back for open night drags. I live in Indy and early evening the temps were 85 when we showed up @ 5:30p.m. I have installed the corsas, volant, and most recently the B&G stage II. Here are my times...(I did not want to post on the sticky until it cools down a bit, I know I can do better since this was my first time out on the track)

First run...13.406 (traction off, in D)
Second run....13.251---cool down time 45 minutes(traction off, in 1)
third run....13.319 " same as second run "

Tomorrow I can scan the time slips at work but for now here is the short recap on my best time:

R/T..... .261
60'...... 1.898
330.... 5.454
1/8..... 8.448
MPH.... 81.55
1000..... 11.048
1/4.... 13.251
MPH 101.84

A guy at the track suggested a "stall converter" for better times, I guess I wll have to do a search on the forum. BTW- I won the race.:D

glad to see you had fun running it your first time..the more you go the better your times will get..usally when i go to the track i let the truck sit for a least an hr before i run just to cool off..i've notice a hugh differnce in my times..13.4-13 flat being cooled off..with your mods you should be in the mid to high 12's also

fever29,
If you'd like I can post your numbers now, noting the high temp., then replace them with what you run later. If not, no biggie, it can wait.

Thanks

Thanks guys for the feedback. I am a sponge when it comes to learning new things, all advice is much appreciated. "Got Stroke" add me to the list, with or without temps, I had so much fun so why not.

By the end of the summer I will be in the 12's...mark my words!

:) :) :) :) :) :)

Done, and you'll run easy 12s in decent air.

The stall converters havent been showing their worth yet. I would stick with the stock converter for now and do other mods as you mentioned.

Thanks for the vote of confidence! In the meantime I will look into the 180 therm., until then my R/T time should come down by Fall with practice.

I will definately post when I get a better time...:D
