So I just picked up my jeep from the carrier who shipped my vehicle from california to Germany...The @$$hole driving it obv didnt take notice of the lack of clearance cuz the entire bottom of the front fascia is ripped apart....he obv hit some kind of curb and just kept driving....my entire bumper looks like its been ripped from the chasis....Its not crazy noticable but if you look at the lights you can tell its slanted down....

Now i have to deal with claims...which would be fine, except on my vehicle inspection report, there are notes around the entire front lip (because of minor dings from rocks and scrapes). I can just tell they are going to try and say this was a pre-existing incident...

My head hurts....and I can tell my wallet is going to hurt too....Anyone know where i can get a new front fascia and ballpark on price? I can tell im going to have to take this to places to get estimates and I dont want to be in the dark

Can you just deal with your insurance and file a claim with them and let them go after the party involved, not sure how all this works since you had to move for work reasons but I know most insurance carriers have to be notified if you take your car out of the country and get approval.

Ya alot of this is just premature paranoia...I will know more tomorrow morning...Im just preparing for the worst when they tell me it was already marked on the inspection sheet...My only saving grace is the giant tear in the bottom of the fascia jutting out into my wheel well....Ill post some pics tom morning...If they give me any problems ill have to go thru my insurance...Just wanted to know what I was looking at for an out of pocket cost... Thanx again wade and squig...

I dont know boss...I will find out tomorrow during my inspection...Ill let u know as soon as i find out....I really hope they let me drive as is...I have seen 2 other ones out here that appear to be unmodified

Good to hear. So despite your recent misery, you'll eventually end up with all those 'minor dings from rocks and scrapes' taken care of at their expense. Everything happens for a reason!

HAHAHAH I know right....Hopefully the guy out here speaks english (since my german is terrible) and I can have him fix the rear molding (where the back up sensors are) cuz there is a dent where some a hole hit me at no extra cost to me.....ill keep you posted....The repair is on the back burner as im trying to inprocess and get a house and everything
