Hello guys ... I have around 600 miles on my car and I am hearing strange noises from underneath ... looks like it comes from the differential ... it happens while feathering the throttle at very low speeds ... Also when I decide to press a little I feel somekind of hesitation from the driveline ( a " Tac" sound ) ... Is that normal ?
Thanks guys

i think i have this too---is it when ur in first gear doing like 5mph--if u tap the throttle on and off u hear like a tap on and tap off sound?---i have no clue what it is either---i asked the dealer and neither did they--thats why im holding off on headers incase i blow my rear end all over the road its covered

Are our Diffs really that weak ? This is a major dissapointment... Where the hell is DCX ?? They know something is wrong in our diffs for sure !! Did the engineers at any SRT chat session mention anything concerning the diff ?

Well I know that when I turn "off" traction control, it does make noise a little... suppose to be normal. Maybe some of the guys can chime in who are more certifed than me on this subject.

I definately have this too...i was concerned about the noise when i first got mine. i now have 2300 miles on it and seems to have died down a bit but is definatley there under very light excelleration. I was told by many members this is a very normal noise from the diff and there was no need to be concerned.....

I have both these problems (light throttle snap noise, and also the vibrations with TC off, on starts). Going to the dealer on Wednesday. We'll see what happens.

does anyones tranny take a while to shift into drive from reverse? mine seems like it takes so long and if i step on the gas before its fully in gear i get a funky weird noise and tranny vibrations.

Are you coming to a complete stop before changing gears?

I get that too... And no, sometiimes I don't come to a compleeeeeeeete stop, and its really bad then. Other cars I've had are pretty fast to go into reverse, I wonder if this is just a safety precaution due to the technology in this driveline. I'm in a hurry most of the time and it does kindof piss me off when I get that hesitation.

I get the vibrations and hesitations too on mine when I do that. I guess it's a common thing on these trucks. Maybe we should bring it up at the next SRT engineers chat session.

Just stop all the way before shifting gears and you shouldn't have a problem. I believe it is better for the trans as well.

it would suck if the rear end had to be changed already---as it is my truck has been to jeep 6 times for the tire pressure monitors---they alllllllways go off--i told the guy how am i supposed to know when i have a flat--then he gave me the duuhhhh face---i love my truck by i think this is gonna be the last jeep purchase
