For those of you with any interest, I had the Jeep in for 1st warranty service. They did order new trim piece. They will call me when they have it to arrange an install date. BTW, the exhaust pipes on my jeep are not even. Left side is slightly higher than right. I asked about getting that corrected. Service guy told me he called DC and they said "it's installed as designed: Do Not Attempt Correction as exhaust pipe will likely crack". So just wondering if any of you have the same issue with the pipes being uneven and if it bugs you at all??

the pipes will not crack if adjusted properly. After I had my muffler removed the tips were a little misaligned and they realigned them by heating up one of the hangers with a torch and stretching it. They're perfect now.

Don't accept their BS!

You can adjust them yourself by sliding under the back with a 13mm wrench. Loosen the clamp and move the resonator up or down as needed to adjust the tip alignment. It'll take you 2 minutes to do and save a lot of headaches at the dealership.

Seconded. I did this at my dads shop. We put it on the car lift and one guy loosened and adjusted the tips while the other stood back and watched how off they were.

What a dumbass...I had a new tow package put on and the dealership screwed that up too. I took it to a local garage that aligned them fine....Idiots.

Hello - newbie to the site and realize this is a very old, discussed issue- just got an '08 and notice the exhaust tips are uneven. I used the search engine and found what appears to be the straight-forward fix mentioned above. When I slid under the vehicle, all I see are the hangers immediately behind the rear bumper and no adjustment there. Moving towards the center of the vehicle, there is another hanger, but overall, everything looks welded into place with no point of adjustment. The hangers secure into rubber bushings. Can someone help or clarify? Thanks!

This is the stock setup pic. These clamps are behind the resonators. Post your own pics so we can see
