Have been trying to mod within a budget, so I put in the Sylvania Ultrastar 9006's in the lows ($49.99) and was wondering if the 9005 Ultra's can go into the fog's/ Seems like I read somewhere that some one did it---they are brighter and stronger and around 65 watts, right? Won't do any damage?
HID's will have to be down the road a bit---

I haven't done this yet, but it sounds easy & safe. BTW the SU's are great. I have them in lows & highs. You may try ebay or somewhere & get them for ~$30. :)

The fogs are 9145 not 9005.
I thought I read that you can modify the tabs to make 9005's fit, but they are not correct.
I have HID's in both Lows and Fogs and the 9145 was a perfect fit in the fogs.

Yep, 9145. The 9005 will fit w/a tap trim according to those that have done it(I have the 9005's setting here waiting for me). Do you like the HID's?

The Sylvania 9005's fit the fog's with no issues.
I just want to make sure they're not too powerful for the fog's wiring.
The 9006's work great in the low's.
HID are soon to come.

The HIDs are awesome, well worth it. I got 6K lows and 5K fogs and with all on you light up the street, but the factory cut-off is the same. Got em off Ebay from the site Tony (InfernoSRT8) recommended.

Not sure about the silverstars but (2) people that tried 9005 "HID's" in the fogs had to trim the tabs to make them fit.
No idea about the factory wiring/load issue with SS's. As halogens go, 10w should not make any difference.

I also put Silverstar Ultra 9005's in my fogs with no trimming. A very small amount of jiggling and they were in.

I did Silverstars 9006s in the lows, 9005s in the High and put the regular 9005 in the fogs. Low budget and each one has better light.
