I just picked up an 07 Silver SRT GC a month ago and I absoloutely love the thing. After getting used to the quirks, including "the thud", something new just came up.

I used the remote start to start the car and the A/C system glitched. It was permanetly adhered to defrost/lower vent mode and would only pump in hot, hot air. After getting home I tried cycling the car on and off with the key and using every possible combination of adjustments on the A/C controls and it still wouldn't budge off the aforementioned setting. I finally got out of the car used the remote start system again and finally it began pumping air through the upper passenger vents with ice cold air. Living in a desert setting this could become problematic. I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue??

I had a similar problem the first day I drove it off the lot.... I let her idle for too long or something w the a/c on....then for some reason the a/c would not turn on after I turned the truck off for a min.
I called the sales guy and he told me to drive right back to the dealer.
When I got in the truck again afetr a 10min cool down, the a/c turned right on. Nevr had the prob again....weird.

I have noticed the a/c is on the weak side, when it's really hot (upper 90's) it takes over 30 min to get the car cool inside, never freezing cold though. Kinda sucks when you live in hot ass Miami.

Try using the recirculate function! Instead of cooling the outside air it will cool the already cold inside air and you can get the cabin much more comfortable on those really hot days.

Good point...I've been doing that lately and it has been better.
Still think the a/c is o the weak side though...
One of my only gripes.
