So i was coming home from the track tonight and i was sitting at the light and up comes a early 80's junker camaro z28... 2 young kids that wanna race... I think to myself should i waste the gas, but then i tell myself i cant let them go home and tell there friends they beat my GC SRT8! Light turns green and i give it half gas and pull instantly 2 lengths..then let off. Next light he asks me to roll down my window and goes " how much that thing cost" i say lots, he says come on and i say close to $70,000 (CDN) Then he says " must suck to know you can barely beat a $2000 camaro.... (What!!!) So i say ok lets go again and i will try this time. Then the backpeddling starts " oh but i wont have traction" and " your all wheel drive" So the light changes and i nail it and instantly 5 or 6 cars distance i let off and he pulls up and say " ya i respect that thing" hahaha I cant believe some people.

Thought i would share that.

Oh ya raced a modded TBSS (heads, cam, dual exhaust, CAI, and a tune) so he tells me and im stock. 1St race i beat hime by 2/10 of a second then he wants to go again and i beat him by 1/10 of a second ( i had bad start) I ran 13.5 consistantly all night It was hot and im 2200 feet above sea level.

Was the TBSS 2 or 4wd? If 2wd, on street tires?

So the SS has heads, cams, exhaust and a tune and still lost to a mildy modded SRT8 or stock?

All i have is DUB CAI...which i dont like and am going to be swapping for a Volant soon. The TBSS was a AWD. I had my good friend with me in his Stock TBSS 2WD and he was producing #'s anywhere from 14.7 to 15.7 (ouch) he was not happy but i told him he should be happy with 14.7 because that was his best run ever!! (2200 feet above sea level)

The TbSS that i raced twicw was AWD. I only wish i had video of it !! He said he would be back out there in 2 weeks, ill try to get vidoe camera of it and go again.
