Just a couple days ago my 2007 25,xxx miles, started boging down at idle. While sitting at a light the rpm's will bounce around almost killing it. What do you guys think this could be?
at normal idle i'm around 700rpms and the needle will bounce as low as 300rpms...

One other wierd thing happened the other day while driving it. I was in manual mode and at a stop lighht. I looked down at my P-R-N-D (3) display on the gauge cluster and i noticed all the letters had white shadded boxes around them, and then the boxes would go away and come back. It was stuck in 3rd gear also. when the light turned green the car truck stayed in 3rd and the engine would go up and down like i was steeping on the gas then letting up, kinda like when you're trying to get someone to race you. It did this about four times. I put it back in manual mod and everything went back to normal. That's the only time this happened and i couldn't make it do this again (not that i want to, just incase i have to for the dealer).

But the rough idle seems to always be there....

Haven't had time to take to the dealer yet.

Mods are volant CAI, Diablo tune (which is off the car for now), BT catch can (i emptied it yesterday and samething happening), 180 T-stat,

Are you getting any codes and did this start happening after you installed any mods? Connect the Predator and see if you are getting any codes..

MINE just started doing this as well. When im at light or stopped the jeep will drop rpms real low feels like its gonna stall then it will come back up then drop again. hope sumone knows whats up wit this

Well, about a week has gone by and i haven't noticed it again yet. I'm starting to think it's a fuel related problem. Who knows what my wife puts in the fuel tank.
If i find anything out i'll keep you posted.

Mine did this a few times. The last time scared the crap out of me. It dipped and shuddered like it was going to stall but didn't. I wonder if it's temp related. It doesn't do it all the time, just randomly. Any help here as well would be great.

how about off throttle coasting???

What do you mean by "off throttle coasting"? Are you asking if this happens while off the throtle and coasting? If so it only does it for me while parked in a driveway or stopped at a light.

If "off throttle coasting " means something else please explain what that is.

Still have not posted if any codes were/are present - connect the Predator and read the codes.

Plugged the diablo in and it only said something about the key i use.

Fuel is Shell 93 100% gas.

drove around today and nothing. Only happens here and there...

i had a rough idle problem as well. i changed the four idle settings in the predator and added 150 rpm to each one. truck idles at 800 now and has been rock solid so far.

I might pull a couple of spark plugs and see what they look like. My Jeep's idle improved when I put a new set of plugs in. (I used the factory dbl plat) The plugs are made to go longer between changes but IMHO they definitely don't perform the same after 20k+
