: The Official ET/MPH List
GotStroke? 06-13-2007, 10:27 PM Since just about every other internet forum has one, I figured we could use one as well. Please list any and all relevant data from the runs you post, including timeslips/videos, all performance modifications, track raced at, time of runs, weather conditions/DA, etc. If you include a time/date/track your run will be corrected and added to the requisite list.
Either post this info or PM it to me and I will update the list as frequently as possible. The chase to N/A 11s is on, who will be the first to run the number?

Inferno SRT8 06-14-2007, 01:00 PM KOOKS Headers, B&B Catback before I removed the break and burn mufflers and installed Magnaflows, Mopar hot air intake, no 180 tstat, no phenolic spacers, stock PCM, coolant temp at 215, TC Off, Basically no truck prep at all, 40 degree ambient temp,-2800 DA 12.5 1.7 60' @ 107.93 MPH. Inferno SRT8 06-14-2007, 02:11 PM ABS fuse pulled Tony or Claude?

Yes on the 12.5 but not on the 12.6
SilveRT8 06-14-2007, 02:14 PM ABS fuse pulled Tony or Claude?
Thanks
No, not for these runs
Please correct my speed at 108.08 and 60ft at 1.76
When I did pull the Fuse I got a better 1.74 60ft, better 1/8 at 8.12 but hit the Rev limiter at the top of Third and lost the run with a 12.85@105.17, as shown by the third timeslip, the TCM reflash probably corrected this for future runs

cobrakid 06-15-2007, 08:30 AM .....the faster you go, the harder it is to go faster!
also, guys that brake stall, next time try, just holding the brake, with your
foot resting on the gas, and on the last yellow slam it. no brake stall.
The truck "should" actually leave a little harder, b/c it shocks it to jump.
It flashes the converter more, instead of preloading it.
With my Lightnings, when I was on a sketchy track or the truck wasn't
hooking it's best, I would actually brake stall it to make it leave easier, if that
makes any sense.
SilveRT8 06-15-2007, 08:49 AM Thanks, will try that

Should still be added to the power adder list.

Car + only motor at low 11's = huge respect.
Car + Blower or Turbo in low 11's = nice respect.
Car + NOS in low 11's =
I will add nos to my car the day I CAN'T do any better exhausting all other alternatives.

To clarify/verify did you have the stall converter and all mods in your sig at the time, stock tires too?
Thanks
GotStroke? 06-22-2007, 10:16 PM Well it only took me ten months but I finally have some (pre tune/converter) baseline numbers.
The details go something like this. I made the 25 mile trek out to Norwalk Raceway Park (elevation 850') expecting good things considering the 75-77F ambient air--though at this time I had no idea what the DA was. I was already somewhat preturbed because I didn't have time to install my phenolic spacers, which definitely would have come in handy today. Shortly after arrival I found myself in line at the gate, where I would wait for just over 50 minutes idling with the A/C on. Simply put, I've never seen this track that crowded before, it was a veritable circus. I would later learn that there was a pro mod (7.00 to 7.50 quarter mile cars, trapping 195-200+) showdown going on, which turned out to be a real PITA.
Ironically, shortly after making it through the gates I found absolutely no one in the staging lanes. I figured what the hell, as crowded as it was already (6:20pm) it was probably only going to get worse, so I made three passes in 15 minutes.
The details: Ambient temp was between 75-77F, humidity was 40%, coolant temp was 192-195F, oil temp ranged from 195-208F, and there was a constant 5-10mph direct head wind. DA ended up being +2100' (verified by a hand held weather station at the track, and after I got home using a few websites). I made the first run in full auto, the others in auto stick (let the computer shift for me), it hit the 1-2 between 5500-5700rpm every time--which needless to say, was highly irritating. All runs with T/C off, and I did not pull the ABS fuse. Basically, these passes were made in 100% street trim with a hot as **** motor, just as you would find me on the street any given day of the week. Basically, I wouldn't call it optimal track form.
The full list of mods on my Jeep includes a full Stainless Works exhaust, snorkel mod, DUB AIR CAI, PCV catch can, and a 176* T-stat.
My runs went like this:
1) 60': 1.878 1/8th: 8.53@81.18 1/4: 13.327@102.30 No Brake Stall
2) 60': 1.849 1/8th: 8.51@81.07 1/4: 13.333@101.48 1500rpm Brake Stall
3) 60': 1.888 1/8th: 8.53@81.38 1/4: 13.327@102.12 2000rpm Brake Stall
Due to breakage and the amount of other vehicles at the track these were the only runs I was able to make. Even more depressing was that after these passes I parked/cooled for 2.5hrs with ice on the intake, pulled the ABS fuse, and ambient temp dropped to 61F!!! There were literally so many vehicles, that when combined with the Pro Mod class shootout and all the oil dropping mid '80s Camaros, that I didn't get to make another pass before leaving at ~10:00pm.
Until I got home and did the math I was rather pissed off. I thought for sure I had the slowest Jeep ever built, lol. Anyway, using the NHRA correction page for DA listed in the Official ET/MPH Thread (originally posted by generalconfusion) my 13.327@102.3 run corrects to 12.986@105.05 and the 13.327@102.12 translates into a 12.986@104.87mph. Now, the fun part. If I correct that same run (13.327@102.3) to -2800ft DA (the air Inferno/Tony had when he ran his best of 12.5@107.93) I end up with 12.61@108.31mph, talk about neck and neck! Damn you East Coast track whores!!! Just to clarify, I'm not in any way knocking Tony, actually commending him. He's put his time in and earned what he's accomplished. As he has the fastest stock longblock N/A Jeep on the list, he becomes the measuring stick we all go up against in the race to 11s.
The next time I run at the strip I'll have the phenolics on, and will either have a Diablo or B&G tune (the spare PCM is sitting in my garage waiting for me to make up my mind). I'll probably wait until Sept/Oct. and see what she does with better air, that or I'll have to make a trip out to E-town to run with the big dogs.
SilveRT8 06-22-2007, 10:24 PM Hi Andy,
I went to the track tonight to test the newly installed BG ECU with relocated IAT sensor. Temp was 62F, DA +783 at Napierville,QC,Canada
12.74@107.92, 1.78 60ft, 8.12 1/8 mile, B,J,L,M,T,W,AA
TC off, brake/stall 1500rpm ( got 5 runs from 12.74 to 12.79)
my mods: BG stage2, Airaid CAI with snorkle and brake scoop, 180 T-stat, relocated IAT, resonators removed, 94 pump gas, .25c Fan mod.
Previous best was 12.82@108.08 at 41F with DA-1530, so I figure the BG made a big difference and I'm very happy with it

2MCHPSI 06-28-2007, 09:14 PM This was on 05/02/2007:
I had slightly under a half-tank of gas in the truck and the weather was beautiful settling in the mid-60's.
I made 4 passes total, all new personal bests for me. First pass right off the highway I ran a 13.43 @ 101.59 w/ a 1.87 sixty-foot. I let her cool for about 15 minutes and ran again, this time netting a 13.34 @ 102.47 w/ a 1.87 sixty-foot. I let it cool down again for about 30 minutes, however the vehicle in front of me broke down as I was getting ready to make my pass, and instead of shutting the engine off and waiting, I completely forgot and the temp needle was sitting at 215 again... 13.39 @ 101.52 w/ a 1.88 sixty-foot.
Finally, I hopped back into line, but this time there were so many cars that by the time I got back up to the front of the lanes, the slick cars, the bikes, and the junior dragsters had thier turns as well. Truck sat for roughly 45-50 minutes. I got up to the tree and when the lights dropped I cut a 1.82 sixty-foot on a .508 light. End result:
13.25 @ 102.69 <- Bone stock. :D

Luan,
I think you'll be happy to know that your Corrected to sea level time for that day is : 13.185@ 103.253, temp was 57F and DA+510.
I got this info from the Smokemup.com site shown on the first thread for NHRA Elevation corrected times, simply go to Wheather and then 'Time slip Cor DA auto lookup'. You simply enter date, time, track and your time (all shown on your time slip) and it will calculate your corrected time, NO MORE GUESSING about the actual DA. I paid $5.50 to subscribe for 3 months and sent a PM cause my local Dragstrip was not listed, and less than 1 hour later I got a PM back saying it was added to the list. Andy, this is the best tool to get all the corrected times we wish for
I even tried and old timeslip from Oct. 2000 when I was running a '87 Grand National and it gave me the corrected time for this one.

Claude,
I thought about subscribing but wasn't sure how many tracks were actually on there. Though for $5.50 it's hard to say no. If we could get everyone to post the dates from their runs we'd be golden. On another note have you received your Stat yet?
Thanks

Hopefully it finds you by Saturday. Remember to clearance the circumference of the housing, I tore my first gasket trying to shove it in when I hadn't ground enough off.
I attempted to register for the site/calcs but still haven't gotten the confirmation email that I need to procede.

Does the Stat come with a new gasket as I've reused it a few times already?
Or what part to get a new one, just in case?
BTW Clear your PM's as your box is full
I see you subscribed to the site/calcs as you showed new corrected times, West/ East coast are now much closer, and Welcome to the 12's

Claude, to my knowledge the dealer only supplies the gasket with the t-stat, that being said. Carquest # C31788 is a replacement gasket only, that many have used. Typically they can be reused many times over unless torn. GC
Hope this helps!

Like GC said, if you get a new gasket from the dealer (the Valucraft doesn't come with one) you need to buy a new stock T-stat to go with it. No big deal it's only $20 or so.
Also, yes, I found the return email in my junk box and spent last night recalculating everyone's numbers to the more exacting standards. LOL, barely into the 12s but I'll take it;)
Clearing out my PM box now, sorry.
NINOSRT8 06-30-2007, 10:30 AM Stroke, I was reading another post and Claud had mentioned that you can have my DA calculated from my time slip? If this is possible I believe my best run as posted by you could have been a little better if the air quality was better? Anyway, here's the info:
Raceway Park, Old Bridge NJ
9:38am
6/10/07
R/T - .653
60' - 1.839
330 - 5.356
1/8 - 8.314
MPH - 82.96
1000 - 10.876
1/4 - 13.031
MPH - 105.87
Thanks in advance!
GotStroke? 06-30-2007, 10:39 AM The auto weather DA lookup can't find the weather for that day so I'll try another DA site (linked in the first post).
GotStroke? 06-30-2007, 10:43 AM Nino, weather underground doesn't have the weather for that region either. Sorry. I can say that based on the time of day and track raced at that it would most likely add a tenth or two and reduce your trap by a mph or so. If you can locate the dew point, temp, and barometric pressure I can do the rest.
Thanks
Andy
NINOSRT8 06-30-2007, 10:53 AM Stroke, All that were there that day said they were a tenth or two slower as well as a 1-2mph slower due to the high humidity? I drove down in the morning through light drizzle and the morning runs were under complete overcast. Perhaps rather than guessing I will have to choose a day that is cool and has low humidity and run again. I was going to go this morning or tomorrow, however they have a 2 day import event going on... Anyhoo, thanks for trying...
SilveRT8 06-30-2007, 10:53 AM Andy, I sent a PM to Smokemup so they could add The General's track at AutoClub Dragway in Fontana,CA to the Auto Look-up site , so we can get corrected numbers for tomorrow

Gotcha, just looked at your mods and I think you're right, it may have been a positive DA day. Humidity will kill power with the best of them. Best of luck next time, again sorry I couldn't find anything.

It was Positive DA 573 at Atco,NJ (same State) on that day wich would have given you a 12.95@106.5. At least it gives you a ballpark figure

NINOSRT8 06-30-2007, 06:28 PM Claude, That is exactly what I was thinking. My truck feels VERY strong! I was so close all three runs 13.03-09 @ 105.5-105.87. I'm sure with good air she will be in the 12's. If they would let me run with the imports I would be there tomorrow. I will post as soon as I go. Thanks again for looking for similar data...
SCSRT8Fan 06-30-2007, 06:43 PM I think somebody on this list should try a track-specfic wheel and tire combo as their next mod, like a 345/30/18 rear (26.15 inch Outer Diameter) and 295/35/18 front (26.13 inch Outer Diameter -.02).
BFG makes this combo in Drag Radials.
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=BFGoodrich&tireModel=g-Force+T%2FA+Drag+Radial&index=0&sizeSearch=true&frontTire=935R8GFTADR&rearTire=43R8GFTADR&place=0
Tire rack says stock tires are: 285/40/20 (28.976) and 255/45/20 (29.035 +0.059) front .
60mm (2.36 inches) wider tire out back times 2 for each side = 4.72 extra inches of traction out back.
40mm (1.57 inches) wider tire up front times 2 for each side = 3.14 extra inches of traction out front.
4.72 inches extra rear plus 3.14 inches extra front = 7.86 extra inches contact patch total.
Plus 3 inches less Outer Diameter means gearing equivalent changes for faster acceleration. Somebody re-teach me how to do the math here because I forgot how to calculate gear changes and whatnot.
Plus much more sticky compound.
This could be a big improvement.
I'd like to see somebody with bolt ons like inferno do this and dip into high 11s.
Could go for different sizes in a true slick or ET street slick as well I guess but haven't found good matches in the market yet.

Rock Falls is not on the list for Auto correction, but the closest one is Great Lakes Dragway WI, where temp was 60.1 and DA +801 for a corrected 13.21@ 102.556, may not be exact but at least it gives you a close guess.

we've been running 34 in the front 32 in the rear for street and track.
First time at the track with my 2006 SRT8 the other night. It is completely stock, I ran in auto shift, no tricks (i.e. esp off, fuses pulled, etc...).
1/4 mile (uncorrected): 13.434 @ 101.62, 1.884 60'

I'm still amazed at how the Kooks made the engine come alive at the top end and how much the MPH increased. It's now a Beast on the street, I love it. Seems the Combo of Kooks, BG2 and Borla really work well together.
Cant wait for Airhammer to come up with the CAI as my present combo of Stock intake tube with Airaid filter and snorkle mod, although effective, could be improved

SilveRT8 09-17-2007, 05:21 AM I went back to the track yesterday, temp was cooler at 55F and also they Prep the track for the Big Guns on Sunday.
I'm really pleased that I got better times, but I know it's purely from going from a DA of +388 to -323. Here goes:
12.434@112.08, 1.734/60ft, 1/8mile at 7.921, ABS fuse out and 1000rpm launch. Napierville Dragway 09/16 at 10:45am. Corrected to 12.476@111.69
0-60mph of 3.65 from Dashhawk on this run.
Other runs were 12.45@111.81, 1.748/60ft with 0-60 of 3.68 and also 12.48@111.79, 1.772/60ft with 0-60 of 3.70.
I tought Track prep would improved my 60ft times but I ran similar times when there was no prep last week.
Next I think I'll order the Bwoody CAI and see if it will improve times, and I'll keep and eye on Gotstroke's results on the ported/coated intake

Track prep sucked bad, temps were 68* this run has to be my worst 60 ft I've ever had on the nitrous, we were only able to get 1 run in due to the track being so crouded, anyways we upped the shot to 125, Im seeing 11.5's in our future, now mind you this is still the stock long block with no heads, cams, torque convertor or headers!! Our best 60ft ever was a 1.604 once i get the window set in again with good track prep.....watch out!

Grip Grip 09-29-2007, 12:40 PM I can't seem to get a run in at a 1/4 mile track, but here's what I ran last night in the 1/8th at the Texas Raceway.
60'----------1.830
1/8 ET-------8.434
MPH---------81.00
Temp---------81
Dew point----66
Pressure-----29.29
I calculated a DA of +3248.
Anyone know what this amounts to corrected to altitude and what it would equate to in the 1/4?
At times I think my engine was built by a temp hire on a Monday morning after a four day drinking binge. :(

Hi Anthony,
CALCULATED FROM THIS SITE:
http://www.wallaceracing.com/Calculators.htm
From 1/8 to 1/4 conversion your time is : 13.21@100.44
Then from a DA+3200, it's corrected to : 12.70@104.55
I guess things look brighter now! Congrats and keep it up

I'll be working in Columbus, Ohio in a week, so maybe I can get to a 1/4 mile track and see what it can really do.
Maybe next time I'll luck out and get a decent DA.

I got a new best of 12.307@114.32 with 60ft 1.72, 1/8 mile 7.827
DA was -715.5 so this helped. Corrected time 12.399@113.44 Napierville Dragway 10:46am. Compared to my previous best corrected of 12.437@112.67 with Airaid Cai and brake/snorkle mod, the Bwoody gave me a definite improvement that I can feel as traction is now becoming a problem.
On my way to the track I stopped twice on the highway to get a 0-60 time from the Dashhawk and got 3.57 both times vs my previous best of 3.65.
After this I asked a friend to take a video of my next run but got a spinning 12.43@113.65
I will try to post slips and video ASAP
All I can say is I'm really happy with the way the truck responds to small tweaks and I'll probably leave it alone for now as winter is coming our way fast

Hey Boost, I dont get the 1/8 mph at the track I run, but from this Wallace racing calculator it should be 89+.here's the link

Here are my best timeslips from yesterday, a 12.30 and a spinning 12.37

Also, dont feel bad about what your GC is running, cause in the end we're never satisfied: At first I thought I'd be happy to run the twelves, then trying to beat Inferno's 12.53 and now I want 12.2?..It never seems to end, but it's fun getting there

Hard? Not at all. Time consuming, probably. You could always C&P the quarter mile list, do some deleting, and send it to me. ;)
jp300+ 10-31-2007, 06:29 AM Just ran at Western Sydney International Raceway. Stock standard car with 17000kilometres on the clock. Only mod was to replace rear mufflers (have a tow bar installed) running on 98 octane pump fuel. Air filter removed. Best time of:
13.49 @101.3 mph, 1.884 60'.
Is this a reasonable time?

Spining pretty bad huh? My best trap was in late November 119.7 spinning through the 60 ft mark, pretty typical for me to trap that high when i was loosing traction.

No, not spinning at all, didn't have the launch dialed in for crap, ran a 2.0 through the 60'. Once the turbo kicked in it went from crap to 119mph... pulled like a raped ape.

Carl Spackler 11-20-2008, 10:59 AM just out of curiocity, what is the actual (not corrected) low ET and high mph for a Jeep SRT8?
BTLFED 12-15-2008, 07:02 PM just out of curiocity, what is the actual (not corrected) low ET and high mph for a Jeep SRT8?
Well I think only you guys have jumped thru the proper hoops to prove what you have run to the masses on this board. I think you hold both unless the Unicorn Jeep can prove to the masses he ran a 9.7

Boost only on a 6.1L motor, and frustratingly enough, not my fastest time by far... I wish I had my own dragstrip behind my shop, lmao.

That is one HELL of an advantage.
Up one lane, back the other lane......make sure you don't hit the starter tower though.;)

bstebbins0024 04-11-2009, 05:05 PM Ok guys, I made my first runs in the Jeep today. At Quaker City Raceway in Salem Ohio I made 6 runs:
1) 13.059 @103.45 1.829 60' .957 r/t
2) 13.029 @105.39 1.826 60' .925 r/t
3) 13.088 @105.14 1.846 60' .874 r/t
4) 13.173 @104.41 1.827 60' .875 r/t
5) 13.133 @102.98 1.832 60' .845 r/t
6) 13.015 @103.93 1.806 60' .853 r/t
Summary: Terrible reaction times. Every time up, I expected the truck to leap instantly which it did not. There was a very minute lag from floored pedal to acceleration. There were a few other SRT vehicles there, one of which was a 06 black GCSRT8 owned by forum member 06GCSRT. He and his wife and family were great people, and me and my buddy had a great time. Greg was very helpful and cordial. My final and fastest run was against his wife. We both have similar mods ( CAI 180* tstat predator. I have canned tune and bwoody 4" CAI, he K&N CAI and DCX email tune) His wife beat me from the get go. I was a little sceptical about email tunes being better than the canned tune, but when she pulled hard on me from the top of second gear and there was no bog when she hit third, I became a believer. That was the first time the truck was beat all day, and it felt slow when I watched the black beauty pull a truck length on me. Now I will be getting a tune asap. Its amazing the motivation gained from getting beat by a woman! HAHA I am actually very happy that Pittsburgh Raceway Park was closed today and I had to make the trek to Quaker City. There was alot of awesome poeple there today. Greg was even gonna let me run his truck down the track, how awesome is that!? I think Ill be heading out there more often. Now I think the corrected time and mph came out to be 12.85@105.27
Please someone correct me if Im wrong. Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to share what an awesome day I had. 12's didnt happen for me today though, so Im slightly disappointed :boohoo:
Cheers
Brad

2xcess 05-09-2009, 02:48 AM I thought i ran the correction numbers right but I don't believe the results.
My first run of the year seemed to hooked well, but all others tonight did not.
Location:Spokane County Raceway (new track, I'm pretty sure the elev is 1909)
Date: May 8
Time: 9:27pm
Temp: 47
Dew: 29

ET Slip 12.877 @ 102.67
Corrected 12.208 @ 108.35
My next best time was an hour later with ET of 13.117
Could someone run the corrections? I don't think the mods add up to 12.2.
Thanx

Best time was 13.72 @ 100.3 mph
I calculated a DA of 2660' and an adjusted time of 13.3
I was my first time and I had more fun than I was expecting. I really enjoyed learning how to launch and got a best r/t of .06. I want to go back after doing a CAI.

Yes and .500 on a sportsman tree is a perfact lite. If you have a .500 on a pro tree your .50 to late.

1/8:8.75@78.5
1/4:13.67@100.11
