so far so good, but don't have more than a few miles on them....I don't blame you for being pissed if this doesn't work. Take it back in!

I had the TSB done 2 weeks ago. I was surprised, no squeek. The weather this week is pretty hot in San Jose, CA. All of a sudden my brakes aren't squeeking, there squeeling like a semi!!! Great, now it's worse. Go figure. I guess my next decision is to either go back to the dealer again and see what they can do........or just get after market pads and say "F" the dealer.

Had brake TSB done about 600 miles ago and was squeek free. Squeek came back three days ago. Can't tell if it front or rear though.

Ya no kidding. Thats exactly what im thinking of doing now cuz im stuck in that same dilemma. With aftermarket pads for one, the sqeeking will go away, and two hopefully some of the damn brake dust will be eliminated. anybody have some good reviews on aftermarket pads they are using?

After reading this, I'm definitely holding off on the TSB. I only hear a tiny squeak here and there at this point. My rotors are bronzed and scored big time though!

Man, I thought this TSB was the best thing to happen since apple pie. I'll accept dirty scored front brakes that work and are quiet. The rears were so noisy it was beyond ridiculous. Now they are silent, I'm happy but reading what may be to come I get some miles on the rear pads....

I wanted to thank Team SRT for the good work on the TSB. So what's up with this?

ya, the new pads were perfect for the first 700 miles or so and now its back. its not nearly as bad as the orginal, but still loud enough to be heard. i swear, its like my ex-girlfriend--- high pitched, annoying, and never seems to go away.

I had mine done a few thousand ago, and still no noise. Lucky me.

I too have had the TSB completed and now the screech has come back. But we have to consider;

1. How long has it been since you cleaned off your wheels since the TSB?

I know that once you clean the brake dust off the screech/squeal goes away for the next 200-300 miles.

Gonna clean my wheels off today and see what happens.

Damn, I don't have any brake noise at all on my 07, no tsb done. Did I get lucky? I have 1800 miles now and nothing....I think I heard a tiny squeal once or twice but nothing that classifies as consistant brake squeal.

Yes - please post your results. My squeal (pre:TSB) never went away after cleaning the wheels. Letting mine get nice a dirty now (post TSB). ;)

EX-SVTMAN: I hope you are "lucky"! :-)

so far 200 miles since replacement, had the centric pads put in the fronts and no squealing. . . the wait continues. . .also had all 4 rotors re-surfaced, did any of you with return squealing have re-surfacing done???

I don't want to jinx it, but I have 700 miles on the TSB with no noise. I did have the rear rotors resurfaced which is key.

I heard a 'slight' squeal and asked about the TSB at my dealer. They are installing my new brakes at 14k. Certainly not as much of an issue as with my old car that squealed like a stuck pig every day and they didn't care (Audi/VW).

You are very lucky! I have 4500 (2007...if my name didn't give it away! :p ) miles and I've been squeeky the entire time!

I clean my wheels twice a week. Still squeeking. Like I said, I guess I have to take matters into my own hands. :(

I had mine done a little over a week ago but have logged over 1000 miles (SF to LA trip) and they're still silent.

Reading these posts give me the fear though. :(

Posted earlier in thread that after brake TSB the squeal came back. Can now confirm that in fact the squeal is coming from the front brakes not the back that the TSB applied to. Will probably just replace those front pads with the same ones they put on the back and be done with it. It's too annoying to wait for another TSB for the fronts.

Going ok for a few 100 miles so far and no squeaks here, but I only had 'occasional' squeakage before. Guess I'm lucky, and no I don't use the brakes aggressively at all. Certainly spent more time and money on other vehicle brake squeal issues, and that had slotted and drilled rotors, hope that doesn't contribute once I go slotted (drilled makes it weaker no?)

I'm at 5 weeks, 1200 miles and mine are still 100% quiet. I'm also getting less pad dust on the rear wheels than before, the new pads are of a different composition. So far so good.

I had the TSB done about 1,000 miles ago and yesterday I thought the car in front of me was squealing but it was mine...CRAP! Not horrible like before but still there. My OEM brakes were perfect for 7500 miles and then SQUEAK CITY.
