PCHIEF520 12-23-2010, 07:31 AM I'm sorry to hear that. I have a story to share but will post it on it's own page. During the holiday season it hurts even more, but thier are some people out their that do the right thing. What shipping company did u use, and did u have insurance?
squigmang 12-23-2010, 07:41 AM did you have shipping insurance??
mexicanowed 12-23-2010, 07:42 AM Usps and no i didnt have insurance.Wow i hope its not as bad as mine.
1BAMFR 12-23-2010, 07:47 AM What goes around comes around...Karmas a b!tch! He'll get his one day that's for sure!
CentralTexHemi 12-23-2010, 07:53 AM This is not the first time a S/C has disappeared in shipping before insurance or not I'd still file a claim against UPS
mexicanowed 12-23-2010, 07:56 AM I believe he is on his.I already did and suppose to have a call today.Still what kind of ******* would do such a ****ed up thing like this.
jim383 12-23-2010, 07:57 AM This is not the first time a S/C has disappeared in shipping before insurance or not I'd still file a claim against UPS
From what i no there going to question was there really all the stuff in the box and if it was worth a lot of money then why wasnt it there any insurance. You have to look at it there way as why would anybody not have insurance for something worth at least 3000 buxs anyway. Ok i just called ups and because there was no value listed or insurance they will cover the box sent for 100.00 thats it. Now he said the insrance for 3000 dollar value would of cost 27.00 buxs. Man why didnt you insure it?
robpp 12-23-2010, 08:17 AM hey mex......it sounds like the buyer is UP AND UP but on LX I have read of some that say stuff like 'parts missing' and such when they really recieved everything to get your stuff for free.
not saying thats the case but are you SURE the buyer isnt lying?
mexicanowed 12-23-2010, 08:25 AM I hope not.Hes always on the forum. He said he thinks they cut open the corner of the box and retaped it.Im going to wait and see what the usps saids.I dont what to sound stupid but when i asked the lady about insurance she said to me that she could only insur $300.00 or sum **** like that.
kmitch80 12-23-2010, 08:43 AM damn that sucks! if you dont get ur money i would sue the post office. it had to be an employee of theirs. And the post office can only insure for $3000.

I Don't believe it happened in this Case as he is a very Honest and respectable Member in this forum . I also recall him telling me that the Package was shipped on December 4 and only got to receive it on December 21st and was anxious and exited for it to Arrive . So Two WEEKS to receive a package  There's your answer right there .
mexicanowed 12-23-2010, 08:58 AM Yea i do believe him.Im just waiting for the phone call from usps.2 weeks is about right from ca to its destination on the east coast. When i ordered my cats it took about 2 weeks. The package was very heavy.
robpp 12-23-2010, 09:04 AM im really old. i confused UPSwith USPS.
and Paul, I missed your post befiore about him being a WELL RESPECTED member.....I dont know who the buyer is and was only GUESSING so no harm or anything intended. ZZAm glad this is the case.
so that leaves someone at the airport or outside a mail facility. I would guess the airplane since most USPS facility will have cameraws all over the place.
BOYCHIKS 12-23-2010, 09:08 AM WOW that is a dissapointment. A lot of bad things happening lately from USPS.
2 weeks + is way too long with usps, no matter where in the US and item is shipped. 7 days max from West to East coast.
mexicanowed 12-23-2010, 09:14 AM This 2 week **** is to long.Thats what i told usps.
Harrison@Stage6 12-23-2010, 09:15 AM That sucks man. Just keep watching him on the site and see if he is blown in the next few months. Sorry to hear about the loss man.
mexicanowed 12-23-2010, 09:17 AM That would be ****ed up.
Grip Grip 12-23-2010, 09:40 AM I'm always concerned about something like this happening. When I sold my Vortech, I photographed the items progressively being packed into the boxes and of the taped boxes afterwards. I also insured the packages, which requires everyone to sign for the packages along the way.
Sorry about your bad luck, but in the future you'll know better. Hopefully you'll be reimbursed.
Vinnysrt8 12-23-2010, 09:43 AM wow sorry to hear that
this is the reason why i put insurance on any little thing.
cobrakid 12-23-2010, 10:00 AM .......why didn't "the stealer" just take everything? and put a concrete block in the box or something?
now they have to source the other needed parts right?
maybe with the word out, someone trying to buy what's missing, might help find the thief????
good luck, and sorry, but YOU did the right thing by returning his money. props!
a990dna 12-23-2010, 11:02 AM +1 ...... the flip side is selling the parts on ebay. The assumption is a random thief wouldn't have known a S/C was in the box to begin with. Therefore the intent would be to sell parts for money or something else....
.
Oh man.... thats F'd up. I hope USPS makes it right, or at least makes a legit attempt at it. Karma will definitely come back to the piece of trash that stole your parts.
And props to you for stepping up and refunding the $. That says a lot about you bro.
jbrasco70 12-23-2010, 11:53 AM Thats F***** UP !!
jntdysf 12-23-2010, 12:15 PM Are you thinking about getting the parts back that were not stolen and selling them to help recoup your losses?
mexicanowed 12-23-2010, 01:06 PM Thats exastly what im going to do.They will sell me the unit and boost a pump plus bolts and ext...for $2800.00.Damn i cant believe the hole set up cost $6200.00.For those of you selling your s/c try to get as much money for it as possiable.
SrtJake 12-23-2010, 04:15 PM Do you have the serial number for the head unit? That could help if we see one for sale somewhere.Good luck getting this situation righted man!
mexicanowed 12-23-2010, 06:36 PM Wow the ****ing serial # i totaly forgot about that .Thanks.I will contact vortech on monday.
