I dont know why but I thought these were faster for a V8, my friend has borrowed it from the dealer and we lined up. It wasnt even close, I put 7-8 cars on him off the line and shut down thinking something was wrong with the XLR. We lined up again and the same out come I put another 7-8 cars on him at launch.

He couldnt beleive how hard the SRT8 launches, he was happier then me, I guess im used to the launches.

Yes & no. I believe it shares the same frame and suspension, but the XLR is powered by a 320hp NA 4.6L Northstar V8. The XLR-V, which would have been a much better kill, is powered by a 443hp S/C 4.4L Northstar V8. They are a tad porky at 3800lbs as well.

I had an 06' xlr and it was...thee biggest piece of crap I have ever owned!!! It was slow as hell and the roof broke every Friday so it was in the shop at least 7 weekends out of the 14 I owned it...junk but it got so many looks and questions so yes it was an attention getter but definately a pig!!! The V is fast as hell though...be careful with them...they will hurt your feelings!!!

Cherokee 5.7 Limited vs XLR would have been a more comprable race.
